Building trust online and establishing authenticity, transparency, and ethical A.I. is a big task — and it’s one that Andy Parsons, the Senior Director of Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), is tackling head-on.

In this episode of Creativity Squared, Andy discusses the need for a future of verifiably authentic content of all kinds to combat disinformation. With collaborators across hardware (including brands like Leica Camera!), software, publishing, and social platforms, the CAI is empowering communicators, journalists, and artists with secure provenance.
 
In addition to CAI, Andy explains the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), an initiative working on an open technical standard for content authenticity that’s adoption is needed now more than ever.
 
Through these standards, technology, and open source collaboration, Adobe is helping lead the way to restore trust and transparency to the media we experience. In this era where deep fakes blur the lines of reality and as we approach the 2024 elections in the U.S., this work is urgent. Andy strongly believes in media literacy and explains some of the ways Adobe is providing curriculum to students.
 
Andy also dives into Adobe's Firefly, a creative generative A.I. engine, and the company’s ethical approach to A.I. development. Democratizing creativity, Andy highlights how Firefly amplifies human potential and respects artists' rights, ensuring content authenticity from the outset. If you ask what is happening here ;-) Well, I switched from a Cubase-based product to Ableton live some time ago and am trying to learn more ;-) 

So I made a mini circus-goa-tech-whatever-you-say-it-is-song that was actually meant for beat practicing.  It's a bit circus-like, so: Manege frei! subtitled: "Stressed out clowns" ;-)  

For this little one I made some colourful video again with a little bit of AI and some rushy footage of a small trip to Innsbruck and some sportive bikers in Vienna :-) If you wanna listen to the whole track you can hear/see on my youtube /@chrisdebug or on my soundcloud /chrisdebug

Since I am not sure if I mixed it the right way (usually don't do so bassy music) , so I guess earphones maybe an upgrade for the experience ;-)

As a Czech-Nigerian artist, entrepreneur, and crew member of the dearMoon mission, Yemi exemplifies a pioneering spirit and profound passion for social innovation and youth empowerment. 

Yemi is the Founder & CEO of Moonshot Platform, an organization dedicated to accelerating young leaders working towards solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals. His 20 years of experience across the industries of entertainment, arts, and technology includes collaborating with Grammy Award-winning artist Kanye West for five years to create and execute his global concerts, tours, and music videos. Yemi also works with brands like Google, Apple, Coca-Cola, and T-Mobile, and speaks on stages like TEDx, Texas Eclipse Festival, and SXSW on the future of creativity and space exploration. 

As a choreographer, Yemi was chosen from among 1 million candidates to be a crew member of dearMoon, marking the first all-civilian space trip around the Moon. He’s one of the eight artists chosen to join Japanese entrepreneur and art collector Yusaku Maezawa, who believes art has the power to promote world peace.      

Yemi’s love of movement and finding freedom in movement are intertwined into all aspects of his life, which you’ll hear in the conversation.

In this episode, listen to Yemi's incredible journey from growing up as the only Black child where he was raised in Czechoslovakia to his rise as a creative powerhouse and to traveling into space. "Si vis pacem, para saltationem ad Goam." An ancient Roman proverb (604 BC) meaning "If you want peace, dance to GOA." Or at least, that’s what Binaryman would have you believe. Truth is, he just really loves spinning massive old-school GOA sets whenever he gets the chance.

With a multi-faceted approach to music, community radio production (@untertageradio) and a passion for AI art and video editing, ChrisdeBug's creative projects cross conventional boundaries and explore new ways to combine image and sound. Her innovative approach to music brings vibrant electro-live music that falls between genres such as organic house, alternative electronic and downtempo, not really doing justice to any pigeonhole. Since 2003, John Richards has been exploring the idea of ‘Dirty Electronics’ that focuses on face-to-face shared experiences, ritual, gesture, touch and social interaction. In Dirty Electronics process and performance are inseparably bound. The ‘performance’ begins on the workbench devising instruments and is extended onto the stage through playing and exploring these instruments.
