FranzBee writes all of his own hooks and lyrics. He is a winter breeze on a hot beautiful summer day in the northern mountains of Colorado Springs creating funk dripped in an old school, new school flavor that produces a free at last hunting vibe that reminds us of hip hop and what it was created to be and that was rhyme, reason and revolution. 
His double EP, The Transformation of FranzBee, part 1, the C side: Count PaLaBaJot and part 2, the S side: The Holy Priest showcases this wonderfully. 
Each track will take you on an adventure from those experiences spent dwelling in the shadows to discovering the light on the road. 
His sound is refreshing, fuckalicious and creative, lace with a obvious sense of humor.
His live shows are no different ranging from bars and different small venues.

Jazz/Fusion keyboard player, composer and producer.  Marketing, advertising, publishing and sales career.  Originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong appreciation for the blues and classical, and moved to New York, where jazz and the fine arts are so deep.  Key musical influences include Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Zawinul and Weather Report, Chick Corea and Return to Forever, John McLaughlin and the Mahivishnu Orchestra, Stanley Clarke, Scott Henderson and Tribal Tech, Jeff Beck and Jan Hammer, Mike Stern, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Emily Remler, McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Larry Young, Buddy Guy, Santana and Earth Wind & Fire.   Former classical clarinet and piano player.  Unless noted, my music on SoundCloud was composed, recorded and performed using only keyboards.  An avid photographer.  Many covers here are my shots. J Bass Funk most certainly has all your groove needs covered in his terrifically fun funk-fueled jam, "Shake", a track that's bursting with resoundingly catchy slap bass riffs, tasty wah-soaked guitar, and style-infused keys, giving listeners both a deeply fun and boogie steeped listening experience that will undoubtedly get those feet tapping. 
Having reviewed a few tracks by funk wizard Jerry Douglas, I can always be certain that as soon as I hit that play button the bass will be poppin' and the groove be pumpin', and I'm glad to say that "Closer", which is helmed by Jerry's more gospel-inspired group, Christ Journey, is another feel-steeped offering that blends poignant gospel lyrical themes with engaging funk-filled melodies and rhythms and emotionally-driven R&B inspired elements, giving listeners a passion-filled piece of songwriting that once again exhibits Jerry's tasteful sense of musicality and sheer love for the craft.
