The Final Rest

It's hard to believe that it has been 10 years since the first "Heavy Dub" compilation! And even harder to believe the label is now 15 years old! We are very proud of this, since not many small, independent labels last this long!

The "Heavy Dub" series began as a simple idea for the label's birthday. I simply took a bunch of reggae/dub style tracks that we had released before and put them up as a free download on our bandcamp. Very soon it was clear that this is not just a small idea for the anniversary, it's one of the best ideas we had! Over the years the compilation series kept coming out every year, and for the last few we had original unreleased tracks only. And yet it stays as a free download and a gift for you, our dear listeners! You can also name your price, if you feel like supporting us, which is always greatly appreciated! Girių Dvasios is a Dub Techno, Electronic dub and ambient music project started in early 2009. The name of the project means “The Spirits of The Woods” in Lithuanian. The sound of Girių Dvasios is inspired by ancient Baltic culture and the nature of this area. A big inspiration and influence comes from thick forests of Lithuania. Every Girių Dvasios track has a Lithuanian name, which is in one way or another related to nature.
