Unmasking the Silent Threat

En effet, selon les données du système de gestion des informations sanitaires (DHIS2), le Burundi compte près de 38 000 personnes atteintes de diabète et plus de 98 000 souffrant d’hypertension artérielle, pour une population estimée à plus de 12 millions d’habitants. De plus, d’après l’Atlas du diabète de la FID, plus de 60 % des cas de diabète ne sont pas diagnostiqués, ce qui rend le dépistage encore plus crucial.
