This is really a creation of Tez, who put it together from a mix of JJ's and my parts on the high end. He was kind enough to share it with JJ and me, and have us be a part of this psychedelic whirlwind. Tez gave JJ and me a bass line attached to a house beat. We both came up with parts that were wildly different than what you hear. But that's just one example of Tez's magic. He can bend sounds and parts to his will and create something totally different from the original, new and exciting. We all hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

Replicant Boogie (Eclectic Collective)

This is my most complicated mix to date. Another melodic electronic creation, but this time with some metal guitars. This one turned into a Frankenstein's monster that originally died, but somehow, I feel like I brought it back to life.

This isn't the soundtrack to your worst nightmare, but a PLEASANT, instrumental track with a really nice melody. Think more beautiful (if a bit melancholic?) melody over a landscape... rather than... well, massacre. A weird title? Absolutely. A good song? Listen and decide! ✨🎧

Welcome to my page, my peers, associates, friends, and musical family. I'm a lifelong, multi-instrumentalist musician who records prolifically and joyfully. You'll hear me play guitar, bass (regular four string, and four and five string fretless), mandolin, banjo, keys (piano, organ, synth), lap slide, sitar, and sing on my recordings here. I've been in a few dozen bands in my life, playing everything from bluegrass, jazz, rock, jam band, reggae, funk, afrobeat, Middle Eastern, traditional Irish, singer/songwriter, pop/covers, to experimental/avant garde. 
  Since I found SoundCloud a couple years ago, I've found many talented, creative people with whom to create music. However, in the summer of '23 I formed a band called The Eclectic Collective with some of my favorite musicians I've met through here. It started as a loose collective of musicians and coalesced into a core group of musicians who find other musicians with whom we'd like to make music, then run their songs through our process, and in effect add a full band. That core of The Eclectic Collective includes Tez (Llanpsych), J.J. Terrel, Ken (K2 and the Three), Stephen (Texmex Shaman), Chris (cgmaness), and Mark (mistermark). A couple of other musicians are frequent collaborators, as well, including Artur of Surfers Like Us, and Steve Vervaet of Steve's World. More recently, we've been joined by Carl of The Beautiful Dark fame. 
  The magic of music is amplified exponentially by each person adding to it. So, we really try to add our sorcery all kinds of music from all kinds of artists. Sometimes, we keep it within the group, but a lot of what we do is collaboration with other artists. Therefore these days, 100% of what I do is collaboration, within the group or with other artists on the side.
  I, and we, are also available for hire if you have a song or lyrics and you really want to add bigger instrumentation or a band and good production to it. 
  A small sampling of the artists whom I consider primary influences, and whom you will hear coming through my fingers include Phish, The Flaming Lips, The Grateful Dead, Radiohead, Rye Cooder, Steve Earle, Miles Davis, Fela Kuti, Arcade Fire, Mikey Dread, Yellowman, Purpleman, The Meditations, Michigan and Smiley, Lee Perry, Dillinger, Django Reinhardt, Impossible Recording Machine, The Allman Bros Band, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Bela Fleck, Les Claypool, Sam Bush, David Grissman, John Prine, Talking Heads, Beastie Boys, MMW, Moe., Morphine, Ween, Steve Lukather, Michael McDonald, John Abercrombie, Dave Holland, John Scofield, Victor Wooten,  Cannonball Adderly, Thelonious Monk, Flea, Parliament Funkadelic,  Frank Zappa, Prince Paul, Pete Rock, Thievery Corporation, Amon Tobin, Chet Baker, Joao Gilberto, Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto, Carol Kaye, Tame Impala, Mumford and Sons, Japanese Breakfast, LCD Soundsystem, Beach House, Sean Lennon, and Billy Strings, but of course there are many more. I also really like and am influenced by traditional Iranian, Palestinian, Indian, Sri Lankan, Sudanese, Mauritian, Somalian, Egyptian, West African, and Syrian music. I welcome anyone who plays non-western music to contact me for a collaboration, too.
 I'm overjoyed to have found my community on SoundCloud. This is a truly unique forum where everyone is sincerely trying to build each other up. The profoundly supportive and positive SoundCloud community has really opened up an exciting new world of collaboration for me. That is the main reason I'm in the Cloud, actually, to connect with other musicians and make music that I enjoy listening to, and hopefully others do, as well. I am ALWAYS looking to collaborate with interesting musicians, mostly though BandLab, which is where I record almost exclusively. It's a solid, free digital audio workstation hub where you can share recording projects, even if it's not where you make your recordings.
  Everything I do is live instrumental, not programmed, and using no computer beyond my phone. That's not to say that I would be opposed to using that kind of tool, it's just not my preferred medium with which to paint. If you like my music, please share it. Millennium Jazz Music is an independent label and service provider based in London and home to talent from various parts of the globe including the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, the United States and Ukraine.

MJM was formed by Gadget in 2003 with the main focus of providing production and sound engineering for up and coming artists and producers, as well as providing workshops for young people. Although the first releases date back to 2003, MJM became dedicated to project management and releasing new material from 2008 up to the present date.

Justin David Howard has been immersed in the world of music since childhood, crafting melodies in his mind and penning songs from a tender age. At the age of 13, he picked up the guitar, laying the foundation for his musical journey. Throughout his high school years, Justin explored various genres, playing in numerous bands and honing his skills.

By the time he reached 18, Justin delved into the realm of digital audio workstations, utilizing his talent to create captivating demos by blending his own instruments with loops and beats. In his early twenties, he secured a record deal with HeadFuel Records, releasing an album and captivating audiences with his live performances.

Following this chapter, Justin redirected his energy towards songwriting for other artists and exploring opportunities in sync licensing for television and film placements. He furthered his expertise by undertaking courses in music production, mixing, and mastering, enabling him to seamlessly fuse live instrument recordings with digital elements across various genres.

Justin's creative journey has seen him evolve from instrumental releases to crafting lyrics and recording vocals, all while staying true to his vision of producing music across diverse genres. With a steadfast focus on sync licensing placements, he continues to unleash his musical expressions to the world, embracing whatever genre resonates with his artistic spirit.

Baserad i Jönköping, Sverige, där jag till vardags arbetar som konsult, har musiken alltid varit en stor passion. Trots att jag aldrig haft möjlighet att lära mig ett instrument tidigare i livet, tar jag nu chansen att utforska och skapa ljudvärldar på mitt eget sätt.

I min kreativa process använder jag mig av AI som ett kraftfullt verktyg, men det är jag själv som står för de flesta texterna och de kreativa idéerna (prompterna) som formar musiken. Jag är en hängiven perfektionist när det kommer till ljudkvalitet och mastering gör jag helt på egen hand för att säkerställa att varje låt lever upp till min standard. Även singlecovers skapar jag själv för att ge varje release en unik visuell identitet.

Vägen från idé till färdig låt är en noggrann process – faktum är att jag sållar bort runt 97% av allt jag skapar innan något faktiskt släpps. Endast det allra bästa och mest träffsäkra får se dagens ljus här på SoundCloud.

Some time around 2009 I started fiddling around with home studio and digital recording gear as a kind of side interest. It was really cool to be able to make my own beats at home without having a band to depend on. Music production comes with a very steep learning curve and the learning never really ends; however, I now have a pretty solid understanding of the process. While I don’t know everything I feel that the hundreds of hours I’ve spent in my studio composing, playing and recording my own music are finally paying off. I can now produce my own original musical tracks from start to finish including composition, mixing and mastering.
