In this episode, Neil speaks with Miranda, a dancer, actress, and writer from Seattle, Washington. They discuss attending grad school during the pandemic, how Miranda discovered her calling, dancers' vulnerability and relationship with music, the nonlinearity of modern dance versus popular expectations for storytelling, Lady Gaga's best songs and revolutionary music videos, the danceability of Afrobeats rhythms, the recent trend of remixing Afrobeats for Western audiences, Miranda's internationally located family, her late grandmother's love of music and fighting spirit, and the divine symbolism of the natural world. "Red, White & Royal Blue: A Historian's Analysis, pt. 1: "We Really Need to Get You a Book on English History" -- The Historical Context of RW&RB"

We start our detailed analysis of the recent gay romcom, Red White & Royal Blue, by considering the expansive historical background that gives meaning to the fictitious love affair between a British prince and a son of the US President -- from the constant scrutiny of royals' bodies and love lives, to the political symbolism of royal marriages, to the reactions to homosexuality in the palace, to the awkward and paradoxical role of the American presidency and the so-called "first family," and finally to the shifting and fraught diplomatic relationship between Britain and America in the two World Wars. We conclude with a comparison between RW&RB and its post-war forerunner, "The Americanization of Emily."

This song was originally  introduced by Mary Martin in the original Broadway production of the Sound of Music. In 1959 The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical featured this lovely song.

It became ultimately famous when Julie Andrews sang this song in the movie The Sound of Music.

This is my interpretation of the song.

    She prefers voice acting work that is character-driven using voice-acting abilities and range. She really enjoyes documentary narration too. She is versatile and open to all types of work.

A Shout Out of Gratitude to everyone sharing commenting and liking our Track Ava's Song: Star Born Child. She succumbed to her injuries in a accident involving a distracted driver. Some of her organs were then donated.She was a really special child that left this world much too soon. She is still with US in spirit and would have loved her song!
