Feeling the summertime vibe over here at Disco Segreta, and we're ecstatic to revive one of the rarest summer-themed Italo disco tunes ever dropped!

L.S. Manera, the alias of the studio ensemble helmed by musician Leonardo Del Vita and vocalist Sabrina Anselmi, epitomized the sun-soaked italo grooves of the 1980s. This short-lived group unleashed only a handful of singles between 1985 and 1988.

Their debut single, "Sombrero" surfaced in 1985 as a promo-only 12” on the Roman label LGO, in exceedingly limited quantities, garnered relatively little attention.  Fast forward nearly four decades, it has become one of the most coveted Italo 12”s, fetching exorbitant sums in collector's circles.

“Sombrero” stands out among aficionados of obscure Italo-disco, embodying a distinct vein: that of summer-themed tracks. With its tantalizing blend of airy arpeggios, Juno 60 synth lines and bass, punchy percussions adorned with claps, cowbells and a seductive saxophone solo. 

“Sombrero” has it all to seduce new discerning listeners, also thanks to the infectious alternating vocals in English and Spanish, featuring hilariously sultry hooks such as "Te quiero, Sombrero!" or "I love muchachas!"

Disco Segreta fulfils another Italo disco dream by reissuing this absolute gem for a broader audience, presented in a meticulously remastered 12” edition featuring the original vocal and instrumental versions, along with the stellar “Estate Dub” by the Latino-Swedish maestro of Italo-disco, Claudio Burgos, aka Mr. Fantasy, which we are sure will become an absolute dance classic.

ARTÜRST es su nombre artístico de Arthur Sommerhalder Tupinambá - productor, DJ e instrumentista que cada vez gana más protagonismo en la escena de la música electrónica, entre sus cualidades se destaca la amplitud de estilos y formas de crear.

Gracias a sus profundas raíces en la percusión, desde los primeros ecos rítmicos de la infancia, se ha transformado en un artista que vive y respira sonidos.

The Vëktogram compositions here are, for the most part (but not always) modular synthesis soundscapes that were lovingly and painstakingly built and performed live to digital stereo, but only to exist in a moment in time. I've captured those moments in time to recall the songs for future listening, but they shall never be performed again...Bittersweet at times, listening to such temporary visitors. I do hope they may transport all who listen to a pleasant, magical and meditative headspace.

JEAN-PAUL is a synergy of electronic synthesizer, hiphop samples, percussive and acoustic rhythm. It's a live set masterminded by two brothers, Arnaud and Benjamin Rippert, who, after playing at village balls and iconic clubs alongside Laurent Garnier, came up with their own sound.

"Carlo Simula is an italian DJ and digger, producer, label manager and author for the much-revered Overfitting Disco blog, focusing on all things disco, especially weird and wonderful european and worldwide obscurities.

It is fair to say that Carlo is one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet when it comes to Italian disco records from the 70s and 80s. 
2015 saw him officially reissue a cult 1981 7" record - Andromeda by Andromeda - on a 12" numbered vinyl including his respectful extended edit, as well as a remix by italian pioneer dj Beppe Loda, that marked the first release on his own “Disco Segreta” imprint. 

From there a string of top notch quality releases, such as Gino Pavan, Susana Estrada, those by Miro (Brina - Stranamore and Pat&Pats - Tobago) to the ones lined up in the future, the label has now become a quality guarantee among DJs and collectors of previously undetected, yet very danceable, 70s Italian and European disco music and 80s italo-disco.

Lover of fine sleaze, off-key singing, flanged drums, vocoders, drilling synth lines and - in general - anything that failed the charts, Carlo's selection often touches assorted Italian weirdos, as well as French, German, Spanish and other countries' disco music, all played on vinyl only, for the real deal experience, careless of any fashion."

HEAR is a DJ and Live Producer, Playing in venues & festivals around the world and composing music with over 2 decades of global experience. Based in Berlin, HEAR has released several albums and records hitting exponentially the Global Electronic Music scene. Here also runs Naissance Musik label nights & releases and co-organizes Origin, an event series in venues across the city.

HEAR has  released collaborative records with top artists such as Move D, San Proper, Wareika, Hakim Murphy (as Dream Scoring), and Henrik Raabe (as Quarter Tones). Additional collaborations include Remixes with Ohm Hourani, Andrea Ferlin, Julie Marghilano, and Amir Alexander, while also creating solo dancefloor weapons.

HEAR’s debut album was released in 2013 on the minimal record label Archipel, and the music is constantly featured in prominent outlets such as Trommel, Mixmag, and XLR8. Announcing soon upcoming Albums from Hear, Dream Scoring & Quarter Tones...
