David's faith and trust in God allowed him to overcome the giant, Goliath. We can overcome our difficulties in the same way.

David 2 - Giant-Killer

The key to King David's greatness was his understanding of covenant, which led him to being called 'a man after God's own heart.'

David and his followers experienced distress, discontent and debt, but they overcame with faith, honour, unity and worship.

David 4 - Mighty Men

David's example of waiting patiently in the years before he became king show us the importance of patience and faith in inheriting God's promises.

David 5 - Waiting Patiently

If you hear an invitation to believe the gospel, then it's not too late to turn to Jesus for salvation. That's what Peter explained in Acts 2:14-41 at Pentecost. Jesus isn't spiteful toward sinners, not the rebellious, the stubborn, the proud, even his own killers. If you have turned your life, marriage, career, or parenting to ashes, it's still not too late to turn to Jesus. Peter's listeners killed Jesus, but he arose and offered them eternal life if they would repent and follow him. Jesus fulfilled Scripture, left his tomb empty, and changed the lives of those who believe in him. Hearts may be granite, but the gospel of Jesus Christ is diamond. It's time to follow him!

The Blessings of the Presence of the Lord

Imagine going about life where you come against this giant in your path, mocking you and all those around you. You witness all the pain and damage they've caused; a great oppression. Finally, you decide it's time to face the giant. No one else will stand up, and so you do. And you believe without a doubt that the battle is won, victory is yours. You stand on nothing but the word of God - faith. With one foul blow, you strike the enemy with a simple stone, and they come crumbling down. "The Giant Has Fallen" tells the story of victory, faith, and courage. And my hope as the composer of this piece is to bring liberation to the hearer - that the giant they face has already been defeated. You can stand in victory.
