Linear System is an artist based in Costa Rica who has close ties to the highly regarded Scottish imprint, Edit Select Records. A label that has released four out of five of his studio albums, as well as several EPs in just a few years. Outside of his regular appearances on the highly respected Glasgow stable, he also lists quality additions to his back catalogue such as Ben Sims' Symbolism, Marco Bailey's MATERIA, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, Marco Lenzi's Molecular, BCCO, and Detroit-based Blank Code, as well as his own Modern Minimal that started life in 2022. Having played everywhere from Portugal to China, he is an experienced DJ with a clear understanding of how to capture the listener with engaging grooves and trippy atmospherics. Molecular Recordings, which was founded in 1994, has recently experienced a renaissance with a string of exceptional releases, launching a new chapter in their history that has featured artists like DJ Bone and Chris Liebing.

Linear System is a Costa Rica-based techno artist closely affiliated with Edit Select Records, which has released four of his five studio albums along with several EPs. His discography also includes respected labels like Symbolism, MATERIA, Dynamic Reflection, Illegal Alien, Molecular, BCCO, Blank Code, and his own imprint Modern Minimal, launched in 2022.

For this DT:Premiere we selected his track “Hyacinthus” with a haunting atmosphere and pulsing rhythm. Space in the cavernous groove is the key here with the vocal chant of "breathe" reaffirming the intention of a heads down, raw and stripped back thunderbolt.

Kyriakos Argyrou, known by his alias "Argy K," was born in Nicosia, Cyprus. His passion for music emerged in the early 2000s.

In 2011, he began producing his own music, drawing inspiration from prominent artists like John Digweed, Sasha, and Nick Warren.

As an artist, he has released and remixed tracks on various respected record labels such as Karmak Records, Zirben, Progrezo, Regular Beats, Kiss Dance, Budenzauber, Kansak, and HiFi Stories, among others.

His talent has garnered support from well-known artists including Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Marco Carola, Hernan Cattaneo, Secret Cinema, Stacey Pullen, Steve Lawler, Tesla, Franco Bianco, Filterheadz, Tapesh, Dayne S, and Matt Darey, to name a few.

Argy K has performed at various European venues through his travels including places like ADE, Greece, Berlin, Finland, and France.
