Over morning coffee, I explored creating an ambient piece by routing radio waves through iPad AUM into the Delta-V Audio Spacecraft granular synthesizer and capturing live samples on the Octatrack using my Zoom L6 mixer as the central hub. The signal path involved sending radio audio through multiple mix buses, allowing me to process it simultaneously through Spacecraft's ethereal granular clouds while collecting fragments on the Octatrack for live manipulation. After getting some interesting buffers loaded up, I improvised a dreamy session with layers of processed radio waves, granular textures, and live sampling, recording both a stereo mix and isolated tracks for later editing.

I've been bad and haven't uploaded any of my work recently. I wonder if I've been at all distracted by anything...

Anyways, this is called Fubar because things are super FUBAR right now. It's a song that asks if everything is ok, then answers its own question. 

The bassline is handled by the boog (behringer model d clone). I like to use a long decay and slowly bring in attack on the vcf. The vocal sampling is handled by the goated microsampler. I sample each word or half word into a separate key and play it back. The levels are a little janky with the room mic picking things up. The rhythm that comes in part way is a favorite wavetable patch of mine on the microsampler called wafe.
