Hey! Thank you for being here and enjoy the fruits of hard work. I have been making music on a daily basis since the year of 2011, back when I was in my freshman year of high school, but my first projects were made in 2008, back when I was in my sophomore year of junior high. Making music has always been a key element in my life because it is a talent we all share in my family. 

I started with a Gateway computer running Windows 7 and FL Studio 9. Then I landed on Ableton Live, the DAW that took my heart by storm. I finally arrived at what would become my true musical endeavour: sampling old records on an MPC. This all would become something like a musical dream since I started wanting to make songs without a DAW or PC for that matter. 

I went down on a scavenger hunt and found the Tascam Model line up and bought a Model 24.

This machine helped me as it was an entry level product for DAWless production. That’s how songs such as “It’s On” or “Yall Hedz” came to be. By producing then on an MPC plugged straight on to the PC serving as a hub to the Tascam Model 24. So I created my debut album “ArK Of All Trades” a Frankenstein mix between DAWless production and a dance made by both FL Studio and Ableton. 

Now, I’m working on my Sophomore Album.

So to me this is simple, to just make songs I think are “listenable” since I had a pretty rocky start on this. People would tell I’m -not- cut for this (ouch). So I’m not here to chase clout or claiming a fame pass. I produce the songs that come from the gut of my heart and the truth of my soul.

Speaking of truth, I was also a drug addict who had to battle addiction against drugs such as cocaine and 2-CB. It was the worst 8 years of my life. I started smoking pot on a weekly basis in my sophomore year of high school, something that escalated. I still remember my female classmates hating on me because I would come to class high as fuck and smelling of weed. It was all crazy bad, but it was part of my story. I wouldn’t deny part of my history since it has always been what fuels what I put on my lyrics.

Speaking of another more hard hitting truth: I’m a native speaker of the Spanish language. This is because I was born in Chile.

Lisa moved to Austin, TX in May 2009. The Lisa Marshall Band came together in October of that year.  The Lisa Marshall Band  held residencies at the legendary Blues bar, TC’s Lounge, The  Gallery at Continental Club, and Saxon Pub. Lisa plays many of the more popular venues in Austin from the main room at The Continental Club to Antone's, and Saxon Pub sharing the stage with icons such as Guitar Shorty, Doyle Bramhall, Bobby Patterson, The Red Elvises, LaVelle White, W.C. Clark, and has also toured with Robben Ford, opened for Koko Taylor, Lydia Pense and Cold Blood, and Big Brother and The Holding Company (whom she also sang with)
The band recently headlined The Beaumont Blues and Jazz Festival 2013, and backed the legendary Barbara Lynn on her hits such as 'You'll Loose a Good Thing' and 'I'm A Good Woman'.

Lisa has toured solo throughout the Southeast and West Coast. She hails most recently from Seattle. There she performed solo with “The Blonde”, her semi-hollow body electric guitar, and often joined by the raucous, soulful three part call-and-answer trio, The Dirty Girls (Anne Leatherman, Becky Fallon, & Susan Apple Manegold)! The group was invited to the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN as the feature for The Sunday ‘Songwriter’s Spotlight’.

Lisa released her first solo album in May of 2008. Her debut album titled ‘Simple’ has been well received on radio and reviews in both Europe and the U.S, charting in the Top 5 on 2 Euro-Americana charts. 

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Marshall was brought up on The Beatles, Blues à la Janis Joplin, the Allman Brothers, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and her mother’s favorite, Elvis and Motown. At the age of 21 Marshall moved to California. It was in Los Angeles where she co-founded and fronted Peculiar Boogie with Rebekah Coltman (guitar) & Susan Joyner (keys) for a decade. Their band was a unique blend of female fronted Brit Rock featuring R&B style vocals and harmonies. The band played and showcased at some of LA’s hot spots such as Troubadour, and the Roxy.
