Hip Hop continued to be in a bit of a funky place, still under the influence of No Limit's sound, and 90s mentalities, but with others wanting to bask in the new millennium's energy. I was 6 at the time, so I can't say I remember it vividly, but I sang the Nickelodeon version of Who Let The Dogs Out like it was nobody's business, so even then, I was starting to turn into a mischievous lil shit. It was also the summer of Marshall Mathers, a summer that, like Gambino on the end of Camp, we never left.
