I wrote this song after a really hard and vulnerable therapy session one day, and things started to make sense after that moment about certain feelings and certain reactions I hold/have. I think the song speaks for itself in many ways, and the lyrics describe what I feel and the way I've felt for a really long time.

The central idea of this song is that our failures shape us more truthfully than our successes. Each “failure” exposes who we really are, not who we are supposed to be. The irony is that these so-called failures often lead us to the roles we’re unintentionally best at. A reminder that life is lived through missteps, contradictions, and imperfect choices. You don’t win by becoming flawless; you win by staying real, even when the score looks terrible. Failure is not the end — it’s the most honest expression of survival.

My art of losing

“Fish on a Platter” is a confession from someone who has stopped existing in their own life. It’s about becoming an object in someone else’s world, loved for convenience, not for who you are. It’s a quiet, gothic lament about the death of the self through indifference, and the tragedy of trying to be loved by becoming less and less human.

just sipping my coffee like nothing was planned
Would that give you peace, tie the knot you forgot?

or chemo my cancer while calling it “never”?

before you run warm to the next silhouette?
