This edition is the first hour of a live recording from last thursday as we were collaborating for the first time with 'Le Salon Daome' in Montreal to celebrate the latest release of @madota 'Del & Roobah' out now on @saisonsmusique. I had the honour to warm up the night for them and it was truly a beautiful night from the beginning to the end. I hope you'll enjoy this mix as much as i had fun doing it. After a huge year throughout 2023 hosting some of the best Australian artists, we return in 2024 to kick it off in style. We've watched this particular project grow over the years, and evolve into a world class outfit. We are super pleased to present to you Moontide Ensemble to launch our 2024 DEPTH. PERCEPTION showcase series. 

Louis Tobin is the brains behind the Moontide alias. With years of experience under his belt and quality releases spanning an array of different electronic realms, Louis has found his distinct live sound in the world of Moontide. 

The Moontide project focuses on downtempo, world-like electronica, with a huge influence of culture's and sounds from around the globe. Having lived and travelled alot of different countries, Louis has collected and created a huge catalogue of varied sounds and uses these within his productions. 

The perfect blend of complex listening music with a real focus on composition, through to upbeat electronica with grooving basslines fit for the festival stage. 

In recent times the introduction of the Ensemble has come to fruition, featuring carefully selected artists to create a live electronic outfit Australia is proud to call their own. We were lucky enough to have the full band perform for us here at our Perception series. Special mention to Michael (Sax + Bass), Miles (Guitar + Vocals) & Nick (Percussion + Piano) for an outstanding performance for the episode. 

This particular set features mostly unreleased music from Louis, including his song titled "Home" which is from his upcoming album set for release in February.

Somatic Cell are Alex Kogan & Alex Esterlis, a Psychedelic Full-On Trance duo from Israel.
Growing up listening to 90’s revolutionary electronic producers like The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk, later discovering the late 90’s & early 2000s music of Astral Projection, Infected Mushroom, Astrix, GMS, Eskimo and 1200 Micrograms, leading them to explore the realms of Psychedelic Trance production as teenagers.

With influences spreading from Classic Rock and Blues to Oriental Music and Industrial Techno, Somatic Cell sound is characterized by a unique blend of energy and delicacy, cutting edge  sound with an old school flavor, powerful drops alongside emotional melodies, driving the dancefloor to madness while touching the deepest parts of the soul.

Their debut EP 'Break The Silence' was released in 2016 on Geomagnetic Records,
followed by their 2nd EP 'Twilight Stories' on BMSS Records, including the hit "Mad Cow in A Cell". Their 3rd EP on BMSS Records, "Radical Particle”, continued the rise of the due, followed by performances at the biggest events in Israel.


After collaborating with artists like Psilocybian, U-Recken, Darwish and Indigo Spirit, they released their debut album ‘His Wish’ in 2019, leading them to perform at many festivals around the world.
