FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Flight Status - Yocantar (TDWS Remix) [BURNING SYNTHS]

These synths have been burning intensely since September last year and are giving no signs of abating. The interesting Spanish label has been turning some necks with its AAA+ string of singles and occasional remixes featuring not only established artists but also new faces from the Indie Dance/Nu Disco spectrum. For its forthcoming flammable episode, the rising & shining imprint presents “Space Rendezvous”, a peak-time cosmic beast by Francesco Cascella. Fun Fact: It is mandatory to have Master Ilya Santana’s permission for any kind of incursion in his realm. The President Of The Universe is on board with a stunning interpretation of the original.

Previously seen on the Burning Synths catalogue with a solid remix for “A New Member” by Roglar & Neburo, Francesco is a promising Pescara-based producer with a strong passion for retro-infused synth layers and leads filled with a deeply progressive gait. Italo Disco and Trance elements are brought together and seasoned with a pinch of space dust, resulting in an upbeat sonority devoted to provoking rampant hip-shaking and extreme handclapping.

PREMIERE715 // Francesco Cascella - Space Rendezvous

The multi-faceted and multi-talented Alberto Melloni returns once more to Bordello A Parigi to unveil his musical multi-verse. “Lago Lungo”, the title piece, sets the tone for the quartet of tracks. Steady kicks thud next fizzing hi-hats as a rich and full-bodied piano melody takes hold, Melloni’s instrumentation creating sheer peaks and creamy amber plains. “Promised Land” offers a different audio topography. Key stabs are bolstered by incising beats as a late-night italo infused romp undulates from speaker cones. Underscoring the EP are influences from both disco and house, sun-kissed chords countered by textured percussion. These twin inspirations combine in the groove laden “Paradise Pie”. Clean notes are refracted in neon, undercurrents of acid lurking just below the vibrating hardwood floor. The mirrorball takes the limelight for the finale. Breathy, smokey vocals orbit funk dipped lines of “Only You”, warbling vocoders dancing under the glittering beams to the close.

FEINSTOFF PREMIERE: Alberto Melloni -  Lago Lungo [BORDELLO A PARIGI]

Melodize kicks off 2025 with a bang, celebrating their 5th anniversary with their 17th release: a carefully curated compilation by label manager Beartrax.

To set the tone, Berlin-based producer Rotciv makes his return to Melodize with "Altered State": this track combines a driving, EBM-inspired bassline with a progressive build, blending trippy, atmospheric and acid-infused sounds. The bar is set high!

Next, Berlin's PCL steps in with "I Want a Bad Girl", a track that fuses new wave and Italo disco. Expect a chunky bassline, shimmering 80s-style synth melodies, and irresistibly groovy rhythms.

Dutch producer Laion turns up the intensity with an exquisite indie dance track that balances phat grooves, lush melodies, and beautifully layered harmonies. This one’s guaranteed to leave its mark on any dancefloor.

Spanish duo Undo & Casiowaves take the mood in a different direction with their mesmerising electro-pop ballad. Melancholic yet uplifting, the track features vocals and guitars reminiscent of The Cure, creating an atmospheric lullaby that invites you to close your eyes and drift away.

Berlin's rising star Micropacer follows with a dazzling homage to Daft Punk. Featuring vocoded vocals, sleek synth arpeggios, classy bass transitions and an enchanting melody that lingers in your mind, Armin truly delivers.

Switching gears, British producer Louis de Tomaso delivers "Aurora", a powerful track that epitomises his signature style. Combine a hefty bassline, layered synth leads, lush pads, and an unrelenting rhythm, and you get a powerful, tension-filled piece rooted in EBM.

Crossing the channel, French producer Back From The Wave brings us "Saturated Love", evoking the early sounds of Scratch Massive and The Hacker. It’s a dark yet delicate track brimming with emotion and sonic depth.

Another well-known French artist, Nhar, now based in Milan, takes over with "Subspace", a deep and captivating track driven by a strong offbeat bassline and sublime pads. Evoking Balearic sounds reminiscent of José Padilla, it’s a piece that will transport you straight to Café del Mar.

Finally, the compilation wraps up with label boss Beartrax himself, who delivers "Discrepancy". Blending film score influences with classical elements, this signature track features Beartrax’s beloved violin melodies alongside atmospheric electronic harmonies, closing the release on a high note.

 Hey Cabrera! is a DJ, producer and songwriter based in Turin, Italy. His sound is fluid and rubbery, often reflecting the current mood. Growing up with influences like The Stooges and Suicide, Hey Cabrera! spends his nights crafting indie-dance tracks that blend Italo, disco and house.

He garnered Italian radio airplay with the single "Ca Va? Je T’Aime!", an extravagant electronic nursery rhyme featuring DJ Protopapa and Emmanuelle. Having released numerous remixes, including for the iconic Italian diva Ornella Vanoni and even Euro-pop legends Ricchi e Poveri, his work has made its way onto esteemed Spotify playlists like Italo Disco, Glow and Poolside.

His first EP was released in 2024 on Bordello a Parigi, featuring two unreleased tracks, "Italo Void" and "Forelskelse" along with remixes by Lauer and David Bay. This was followed by another EP, "The Moment”, released by Frank Music the label run by DJ Johannes Albert.
 
Now it’s time for the “AI Agent Says Hello” EP, set to be released on January 31 through Feinstoff Berlin.

The main track is inspired by artificial intelligence: a buzzword for sure, but... Can you groove to it? With "AI Agent Says Hello" Hey Cabrera! reimagines the future through the lens of the past, crafting an uplifted song that feels both retro and ahead of its time.

K. Torpela, a DJ hailing from backwoods of Finland, is an explorer, navigating in darker, mutated disco-esque soundscapes. Having a long and versatile history with electronic music, he has developed a unique style of his own, influenced by Italo-Disco and New Beat of the 80's. His sets are often focused on a gloomy, mysterious atmosphere; powered by thrilling synth action and heavy, groovy basslines.
