Filmscore for Toniko Pantoja's film "Wolf Song". This animated short needed an approach that was very different from last year's "Crayon Dragon", as Toniko decided to go for a much darker and sad theme this time.

The music played a very important role, as the film revolves around a lullaby theme, which took a recurring role in this animated short. The theme had to have a somewhat sad and eerie tone, but give some sort of comfort at the same time to reflect the storyline of the film. It was a lot of fun working on such a thematic base, as it greatly contributes to a film's character in my opinion. As usual, the Oboe was recorded by Kristin Naigus, who's live recordings greatly contributed to the haunting tone in the beginning of the film. The singing parts were recorded by voice actress Karen N. Kahler, who voiced the wolf mother in this film.

Pejman Khalili is an Iranian Composer .he was born in 1982 in Tehran, Iran .he graduated in master degree of Composition from Soore Art University in 2010. he has composed music scores for movies (short,documentary) since 2004 . also he has composed many music pieces for chamber ensemble ,string orchestra and symphonic orchestra . he has won many awards so far such as : Best Musical Score (Iran Cinema Celebration-2011), Best Musical Score (Tehran International Animation Festival-2013) , The First rank Award of Composition ("peace and justice" Music Festival-2016), The Second rank Award of Composition (Fajr International Music Festival-2010). his musics performed by various ensembles and orchestra such as National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and Tehran Symphony Orchestra . he has worked as a Film Music Lecturer at Soore Art University and Tehran University of Art since 2015 .

"Shaping the Next Generation of Orchestral Musicians"

When you think of Memphis, TN, you most likely think of its profound musical influence--specifically in soul and blues. Memphis is home to some of the world's premiere music history sites: Stax, Sun Studios, Beale Street, Graceland, Ardent Studios, the list goes on and on. In 2011, The Memphis Repertory Orchestra (MRO) began working on adding its name to that legendary list.

When the MRO formed under the leadership of William Langley, they wanted to put Memphis on the music map, again, but this time by distinguishing the city as a great new epicenter for classical music. While the city already plays host to a fantastic Symphony, which performs in a state-of-the-art concert hall, the MRO strives to reach an even broader audience by getting the younger generation involved in the process, especially students.

The orchestra is comprised of local undergraduate and high school students alongside area amateur and professional musicians, all working on a volunteer basis. Founded by Mr. Langley, then a freshman college music student, with the support of colleagues, the intent of the orchestra was to offer student musicians an opportunity to perform and rehearse the way a professional orchestra does - with only a few intense rehearsals and then a concert.

Langley's philanthropy also extends into the orchestra's business model. The orchestra has been performing regularly for the Memphis community in the Buckman Performing Arts Center (originally performing in the famous Cooper/Young district of Memphis), but free-of charge.
