As souls, we have lived through many experiences and fought many battles ~ of injustice, personal boundaries, threatened honour. This has made us hyper-vigilant to attacks on our way of being.
 
As we embark on a spiritual path, in a sense we have to retire from this soldier-like attitude. But it takes time to give up the battle. We begin to look at the world in a different way, seeing situations with compassion and understanding. We recognise the futility of fighting and begin to create a different future, a future of peace, built on thousands of peaceful thoughts and footsteps.

Valériane was born in France and from a young age she foresaw that only genuine personal engagement between people could create a lasting quality of life within the human family. Trillium combines a triple rhythm pattern, a recurring four-chord progression, and a generative melody based on chord permutations. The melody flows as a string of upward and downward three-note patterns, and the title is inspired by eponymous perennial herb growing from rhizomes, having flowers with three petals. The work aims to find unexplored possibilities, new meaning and feeling in traditional consonant harmonies and familiar sound textures.

In this process piece I wanted to set a beautiful music box against an overflow of digitalia. The result is the digital degeneration of the original sample. Also, in the middle there's a poem, because I wanted to set this old one to music. I think it came out pretty cool, although asking people to listen to half an hour of music these days is wishful thinking. If you do take the time, I'll be very grateful.
