‘Al’maghfira / Forgiveness’ is the artist’s portrait of a still picture, ‘a mental snapshot of my brain taken in the middle of the currently unfolding events of my life. So many questions arise, what will I become ? Am I waiting for something, why isn't it happening yet? What is it even? What the fuck…’

The album is a conversation between Prophän and the voices in his head, sometimes these voices manifest themselves as a song playing in a loop, other times a raging roar. He protests, then resigns, looking for comfort in magical protection, even though it is not working any more. Truths have unfolded, making his whole world crumble and fall apart. The rage builds up, entering the most primitive mode, by following his instincts and attacking on sight. Then, a state of peace and quiet. Serenity. He turns outwards, looking for beauty in life, looking for God, some kind of protection. Al’maghfira evokes beautiful sorcery entwined with chaotic times, conveying its melancholic emotions into grim electronics. In these industrial and tribal signatures, you will hear the nuanced elements of forgiveness.

Prophän is the solo electronic music project of Othman Cherradi, based in Paris and previously in Casablanca. Cherradi runs the experimental techno label Rhadâb and is the co-founder of Mindless, a series of live events, podcasts and radio broadcasts. He acknowledges a wide spectrum of musical inspirations, ranging from industrial and noise to the undeniable influence of local trance-inducing musical practices and customs that surrounds him in North Africa. 


[MEDS XII] On this land, Mediterano, the Mediteranos gods created the animals, led by the speaking Mediteranis who multiplied and worshipped their gods.

Mediteranos is an independent label that rooted the basis of its idea; Developing our own voice, igniting the fire within, and exploring unknown territories. Mediteranos came to life in 2019 from the vaults of Palestine, starting as a platform for sounds gravitating genres, in search for sensual stimulation and visual association.

Since then, it has been in constant search for new musical realms and innovations, while offering soundscapes, creating for listeners places to live, and sharing artistic visions that are intimate, honest and raw. Electronic artist and producer Khalab has garnered international recognition for his unique blend of traditional African sounds, deep bass work, jazz, and densely layered electronic textures. His musical journey is a seamless progression, spanning from the roots of ancient tribes to the uncharted territories of the cosmos, from the jungle to the chaotic bustle of urban metropolises, and from the deepest recesses of the subconscious to the farthest and most realistic projections of future Africa. Khalab's musical philosophy centers on the fusion of tradition and evolution, synthesizing universal languages and exploring the electronic realm with a shamanic, groovy, and dark approach. These are the key elements that define his musical style. 
Collaborating in the years with great artists like Shabaka Hutchings, Moses Boyd, Tenderlonious, Rocio Molina, Yazz Ahmed, Joshua Idehen & more, Khalab is associated with prominent record labels such as Black Acre, Wonderwheel Recordings, and Real World Records. His brand new album ‘Layers’ was released last August via his own label Hyperjazz Records.
