This set was a fitting end to a great night with lots of great people. The crowd and I had a lot of fun with this closing set. It delivers high energy and is a mix of current releases and classics of neurofunk and dancefloor doubles - always hard and sometimes something to sing along to. It's hard to stand still to this! Amidst a vast lattice of cable & wire, a sole individual worked with inhuman fervour at his craft, bearing forth a constant flow of invention unto the dismal depths of his laboratory. He had sequestered himself here in this catacomb of creation with single-minded purpose, devoted entirely to a code of his own as he endeavoured towards all that had not been done before. Without thought for life or limb he set himself frantically to his craft. Before him, every vial was an opportunity, every electrical surge a moment of bliss, and every elemental synthesis a pathway forwards into the unknown.

For weeks, months, and even years the individual worked at a feverish pace, a hermit within an ever growing den of discarded reagents and the husks of former inventions repurposed for a greater cause. For all of his creations, such time alone had begun to take its toll upon the man, and as it marched on new thoughts came to his mind. “Escape....” came first, “I must show them the way” then came second, bearing upon him with an inescapable force. With his frenzy now turned outwards the inventor burst forth from the doors of his laboratory, clutching a variety of inventions in his grasp. Bathed in the light of the world beyond, the inventor sprinted into the street, shouting of his miracles as his SANITY TRIP drove his feet.

NUKLEAR debuts his first full artist EP on EATBRAIN with SANITY TRIP. Long known as a premiere MC within the neurofunk scene, NUKLEAR has appeared on multiple collaborations across EATBRAIN as well as RAM Records, Virus, and Viper. In bringing together many influences such as the heavy metal sonics of WHIPLASH, SANITY TRIP sees NUKLEAR bring the focus firmly to his own dynamic lyrical abilities across five tracks with an equally diverse lineup of co-conspirators including MINDSCAPE, PYTHIUS, STATE OF MIND, TEDDY KILLERZ, THE CLAMPS, & KRITIX.

Burr Oak is the collaborative Drum & Bass project of French producers The Clamps and Opsen (formerly of Signs), uniting their visions around a dark, cinematic strain of Neurofunk. With releases on imprints such as Trendkill, Eatbrain, Blackout and Cause4Concern, they craft high-impact music where ruthless sound design, rock energy and emotive songwriting collide.

Their debut album "Somewhere We Belong" on Eatbrain marked a turning point, an 18-track odyssey that firmly positioned Burr Oak at the forefront of modern neurofunk. The record unfolds as a narrative built around their outlaw alter egos Scruggs and Sonny Jim, blending worldbuilding, dystopian atmospheres and dancefloor pressure into a cohesive universe.

Through a series of EPs, including "Hawkeye" and "Zero Alpha", and their remixed LP "Somewhere It’s Reborn", Burr Oak has continued to expand this sonic lore, pushing their hybrid of industrial textures, emotional melodies and razor-sharp groove. Their catalogue extends further via collaborations and remixes for labels like Blackout and Evolution Chamber, notably the single "I Want You" with Magnetude and their acclaimed remix of Pythius' "Erase Me" on Blackout, which brought a particularly fresh and forward-thinking twist to the original, alongside numerous high-profile reworks for scene heavyweights.

Rooted in the intensity of 90s alternative music and driven by a "music for the struggled generations" ethos, Burr Oak treats each release as a self-contained chapter: a blend of narrative, sound design and impact that looks unapologetically toward the future of Drum & Bass.
