A Contribution to Black History Month
 
Heroes are important. They are not necessarily well-known and may not always be perfect but something about them, be it their courage or determination, their kindness or power to forgive, their tolerance or refusal to give up, touch our hearts and inspire us to keep on going. If they can do what they did, then surely, we can do the same. 
 
Join us to listen in on a conversation between Grace Lopez Charles and Samantha Fraser, about the heroes that they would like to celebrate.

Speakers: 
Grace is a retired teacher, lecturer and researcher in the field of Mathematics. For the past 16 years she has been based in Ghana, West Africa, where she coordinates the activities of the Brahma Kumaris there. She is one of three delegates representing the Brahma Kumaris at the United Nations Convention for Combating Desertification.  
 
Samantha has been a primary school teacher for nearly 30 years. Although she was born in London, Samantha spent 20 years working in different countries in Africa setting up value based programmes in schools. She also coordinated Brahma Kumaris centres in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.Samantha is currently based at the Global Retreat centre and is the events coordinator.

This evening’s programme is a joint UK Values Alliance and Brahma Kumaris contribution to World Values Day, 16th October.
 
The theme this year is Values for the Future
 
Hope is like a candle shining in the dark. It gives us the courage and determination to keep going. It uplifts and inspires us to rise to our challenges, whatever they may be.
 
The conversation will be facilitated by Charles Fowler FRSA, member of the Steering Group of the UK Values Alliance and Chair of Human Values Foundation

Marina Cantacuzino MBE is an author, broadcaster and founder of The Forgiveness Project. Shining a light on restorative processes, the charity works with personal narratives to show how individuals and groups can break cycles of harm, reach across divides, and see humanity in those who have harmed them. 
 
Manda Patel is an inspiring teacher and speaker, who has dedicated her life to studying the simple, spiritual truth that lives behind the philosophy of the Brahma Kumaris. She is based in the Global Retreat Centre, near Oxford, where she has played a pivotal role for many years.

I am a schizophrenic and I use music as an outlet for my strange and complicated inner landscape. I mostly just play around with the limited 8 tracks in Loopcloud and post the repeating loops here. It gives me moments of peace from my mental illness and keeps the mind busy. It's like putting a puzzle together and I enjoy making music this way even though the samples don't always fit perfect together. This page is something like my diary as I find it hard to put into words what I have experienced. My music (if you can call it that) is uplifting, sad, mellow, melancholic, dreamy, chill, atmospheric, serious, playful, ambient, abstract, mysterious and sometimes dark.

Dudley Anderson was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. After graduating from Bible College in 1990, God opened the way for Dudley to branch out into Christian radio. As a musician and worship leader he developed a heart for Christian music, which became the main thrust of his radio work in South Africa.

If you come across a track 'without vocals', I produced it. 

If you come across a track 'with vocals', I still produced it, then wrote to it, and then and only then do I take MY music and MY lyrics and run it through Suno AI. This allows me, a long-time songwriter/producer, to create demos. I tag "demo" in most of the songs I post here.  This is because I want to sell these to bands/artists and work with them until the song is complete.

The "Origin: Unknown" and "mama (dream)" albums were made this way, with lyrics I had written to beats I produced over 15 years. I did not want to publish music this way, but being 48 years old, I decided to take the risk in hopes to gain attention/exposure so I can write songs this way, using Suno AI to perfect them - but with the intention of helping another band/artist record the song themselves. 

IMPORTANT: I can recreate every single piece of music on this page for any artists looking to collaborate. 

It's not that I am lazy or untalented, yet quite the opposite. I have learned over the years how important it is to stay ahead in music technology and how to use every single tool available to me to eliminate restrictions in my creative process.

The only song you will hear my voice on is "Last Hope."
