Dave Angel’s 'Revolt' EP on Rekids Special Projects is an emotionally steamy and intense offering with jolting drums and outspoken words. The title track, ‘Revolt’, brings subtle funk while the synths are imbued with plenty of Detroit-inspired soul designed to light up any dancefloor. Angel’s 'May I Have This Dance' shows a different side, with zippy lead synths amplifying the vibes as hunched, dubbed-out rhythms march down low and keep you locked into the groove.

Following up his 2023 ‘Glide’ EP on Radio Slave’s Rekids, Dave Angel now makes his debut on its RSPX sister label with the ‘Revolt’ EP. From remixes for the likes of Carl Cox, Orbital and Underworld to underground classics on labels like R&S, !K7, and his own Rotation Records, Dave Angel’s ever-evolving sound has made him a core part of the scene for over three decades. With ‘Revolt’, Dave once again shows his uncontested production skills with an infectious double A-side record oozing character.

The 'Feel Like Fucking' EP by Ackermann on Rekids’ Rekids Special Projects starts with the title cut, which features hurried, pent-up techno kicks and a warm bassline. Hi-hats dance up top with sleazy vocals skating across the groove next to smeared synth details. It's a profoundly seductive track, while 'Love Is Good' has a more celebratory feel in its old-school chord vamps and punchy house drums.

The fantastic 'Push' on Safe Space label head Ackermann’s ‘Feel Like Fucking’ EP then hurries along at a hundred miles an hour with rolling kicks and driving bass. It's topped with a well-filtered synth line that shifts about the mix to bring an extra dynamic sense of energy. 'Wiggle Your Neck' gets more playful with percussive but stripped-back beats, closing out this offering with freaky vocal details and plenty of infectious bounce.

Ackermann has been a well-established DJ for many years but decided to focus on production in 2020. Since then, he has been a staple in the influential record bags of artists like Ben Klock, Len Faki, and Charlotte De Witte, while his club-ready sounds have appeared on UNCAGE, Syncrophone, and his own Safe Space label.

Radio Slave’s 2008 ‘Grindhouse’ feat. Danton Eeprom has a new mix from Italy’s Vaert and shifts from its original home on Rekids to Techno-orientated oﬀshoot RSPX in late February. Having previously been remixed by Danton Eeprom, Len Faki, Nic Fanciuli, Obscure Shape & SHDW, Slam, and notably Dubfire, who provided an iconic interpretation, the 2025 release emerges with a distinctly Melodic Techno lean.

Seventeen years on from its original drop, Afterlife and HABITAT artist Vaert’s remix of Radio Slave’s ‘Grindhouse’ feat. Danton Eeprom supersizes each element and roughens the beat by crunching its bassline with heavy distortion. Reminiscent of Dubfire’s hugely influential ‘Terror Planet’ mix of ‘Grindhouse’, Vaert briefly oﬀsets the track’s rampaging bass with lush pads before the original’s mind-altering synths blow the roof oﬀ, Eeprom’s vocal sample oﬀering something to hold onto throughout this dancefloor-primed cut.

French live Techno outfit Möd3rn debuts on Rekids’ Rekids Special Projects sibling label with the ‘Far South’ EP, with part one landing 28th March 2025. The group, whose current members include artists Electric Rescue, Kmyle and Moteka, drop ‘Tension’ first, bodied drums swinging down low while alien signals increase in intensity above. The artists follow up with title track ‘Far South’,  in which jagged rhythm melds with restless stab sequences before
shadowy dance cut ‘Melancolysea’ overlays transcendental melodies over a dark and snaking bassline for mind-melting trippage.
Founded in 2013 by Maxime Dangles, Traumer, and Skryptöm label boss Electric Rescue, Möd3rn has grown into a notable live hardware act with a long list of releases on their eponymous Möd3rn Records label. Though Maxime Dangles and Traumer have now moved on from the project, Mord and COD3 QR artist Kmyle and Skryptöm regular Moteka have both joined Electric Rescue since.
