I was clearing out my laptop and discovered the live recording of my first ever solo set from back in March. I didn't upload it at the time as I'm a perfectionist but listening back now I'm really proud of my baby DJ self as I'd only been DJing for six months when I did this set! It opens with one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite producers ever - Octo Octa - then takes you on a journey of chicago house, tribal house, pumping house, UKG, speed garage, a mashup by yours truly and some 90s gems including a couple rips from my precious vinyl collection.

The set was at Nightbird, the amazing night ran by Chess & Shamaya showcasing up and coming female DJ talent.

Live recording of my first ever peak time set ❤️‍🔥! The brief I gave myself was: Baby Adonis 🥵. Expect sexy house, piano house, 90s trance, trance-infused grooves, a lot of euphoria, including a Missy Elliot edit that went off and a Kelis original (perfect as it is imho) that filled the dancefloor with nostalgia ✨💫. Plus some live vocal sampling of one of the most iconic moments in 90s film. Listen if you need to get in the mood for the weekend and have a sweat 💋🫦💦.

The set was at the launch night of Pherotone, a new female-led party all about connection on the dancefloor, by me and one of my best mates.

Driven by a deeply rooted ambition to share her positive and funk-driven vibes with as many souls as possible, Tess Robinson already played some international stages while making a great impression with her infectious attitude and groovy deephouse.

Years of piano lessons and a mother who was a professional ballet dancer gave Tess Robinson a profound understanding of musicality and working ethos. Although just in her twenties, Tess Robinson knows from first hand experiences that music is the ultimate and only way to create a vibe where there is no time and space, where all problems can be forgotten. With a quickly growing list of gigs at prime locations, she is proving more and more she can lead any crowd to that very momentum.
