Not thinking too highly of yourself is to think humbly of yourself. A lack of gospel-centered humility keeps an individual from living well with God and others.

Healing From Emotional Wounds Healing Negative Emotions In this extended episode, Paul Clough tackles the persistent negative emotions that many of us struggle with - those emotional wounds from our past that seem to linger despite our best efforts to move on. Imagine you're a client of mine, but you're not. But imagine this coming into my clinic, comes through the door and there we are. You've got this lovely seat, doesn't. It's not a lay down seat, but it's one of those reclining seats, really comfortable. And you've come in, talk about this negative emotion you've been feeling. This feeling is, you know, it's anxiety. Now anxiety as we know is really general. It just means so many different things to each and every different person, I guess, doesn't it? Everyone will experience anxiety in a different way and it will be caused by different things triggered in different ways. Because everyone, I guess, is unique, isn't it? Aren't they? Aren't you? And I'd ask, so if you had just two sentences, what do you really want from this session? And they'd say, something like, well, I just want to feel so less anxious. And I'd say, well, just less anxious, a little bit or a lot. And they go, well, of course I don't want to. I want. And then get stuttery because that's what happens sometimes because we're anxious. And I'll say, well, what would happen if we could change that feeling of anxiety to something really comfortable? So you could deal with different situations where you used to be anxious in the past and you could feel differently, what would that be like? And of course the obvious answer is, well, that'll be awesome, Paul. Can you, you know, can we do that? So I can't do it. I can for myself, but I can guide you to it. You see, I'd explain. I'd explain the feelings, you see, Think now, when you think back to that feeling of anxiety, where'd you feel it in your body?...

We all want friends, don't we? It's nice to have good friends, isn't it? Helping friends succeed. Here's the thing. What's this podcast all about? Well, personal development, unplugged, we also call it from anxiety to confidence. Letting go of anxiety. Finding ways, ways and processes to allow you to be free of worries, fears, all other issues. and live the life you want. Imagine living the life you dream for yourself and it becomes your reality. Social anxiety, you know, ocd, it all has its core, I guess, with fear, anxiety. But here's the thing. I want you in a moment if it's okay. He. This is the thing to imagine. Anxiety is being a friend, a friend that's always with you. Well, it is, isn't it? You know, that fear, that anxiety, that panic or whatever it is for you, that imposter syndrome, things like that, that I shouldn't be here and I'm not good enough. It's all based around anxiety....

Trying to leave this little old world and the people I meet in a better place then when I first met them.

I now love helping making changes in people and guiding them to create the life they really want.
 
A personal look at me:
 
The above sentence was not always the case and being the best in the financial realms of the building industry was my aim and getting there by any means. I now know this is, and was, the worst way ~ even if I did make director of one of the largest building companies in Cambridge by the age of 30.
 
One of the major realisations came on my first ever training in hypnosis. I found that it’s not a win lose world and that a win win is only a low basis to live.
 
Being true to your beliefs and coming from a place of integrity where service is paramount. This understanding together with lots of NLP skills helped create my last partnership in the building industry grow from a turnover of £800k to £16m in less than twelve years and that can only be done with giving more than expected.
 
Another shaping of me came from two traumatic events in my life that happened within six months of each other which created a number of major changes in me and by beliefs in what is possible. I have written about my experience and how I dealt with it but more importantly it really showed me my love for my three boys and theirs for me and resulted in the step up to become a trainer of NLP (which I never intended) and my close and exciting work with two of my sons. In supporting Joseph and help create change in people in our training’s and his wonderful life changing ‘Be your potential weekend’ and with Luke the continuing development of Cambridge Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis processes. My relationship with my third son Daniel just keeps getting better and better too.
 
Not knowing how good I had become in change work in the beginning I generally studied, practiced and saw clients then things started to happen when I started to work following just my instincts. Two clients come to mind both in effect dying from the effects of what was happening to them and the way they felt and within one and two sessions respectively not only won the will to live they changed virtually in front of my eyes and being apart of that process was and is the best feeling alive.
 
The above are just three of many brilliant learnings I have had in my life.
