I first heard this song from Doug Adrianson at the Topa Institute, which in its original form consisted of just the first part, "Be still and know that day and night, be still and know that dark and light, are one holy circle." A few months later, I was sitting alone in the interfaith public chapel at the new Tulum International Airport, singing with my shruti box, when the second part came through. Note that in this version the first two lines of the first part are sung in six beats each, but if you are teaching it to a group you can sing them in four beats and have the group echo back in four beats.

I play on public stages as well as on private events  &  I like to teach, accompanying people on their own way to the celtic harp.

Ob in der Musik, Tanz oder im Theater, seit jeher hat mich die freie Improvisation fasziniert. Besonders zuhause fühle ich mich in der spirituellen Musik der Naturvölker.
So sehe ich Musik und vor allem Improvisation als hohe Form des göttlichen Lobpreises um in Verbindung mit den Elementen ganz in die Schwingung von Mutter Erde einzutauchen und ihre Liebe zu teilen.

Whether in music, dance or theater, I have always been fascinated by improvisation. I feel particularly at home in the spiritual music of indigenous tribes. For me, music – especially when improvised – is a high form of spiritual worship. Connecting with all the elements, it becomes possible to dive into the deep vibrations of mother Earth and to share her love.

Award-winning songwriter, Folkgoddess Diane Patterson 
subverts the dominant paradigm with rocking acoustic guitar and ukulele, 
a mighty pen, and a woman's voice, since 1989. 

Diane’s been performing at festivals and venues since 1991, beginning with co-fronting a world music band in Davis, then starting the award-winning Diane Patterson Sextet with three fellow songwriters and two percussionists,
followed by 13 years of solo, duo, and trio work, mainly with Al Torre on guitar.

This February 2018 Diane released a fantastic new CD, Open Road, with gold record-producer Mike "Nappy" Napolitano. Featuring supporting vocals and instrumentation by none other than Ani DiFranco, Open Road is also graced by Al Torre, Alice DiMicele, Terrence Higgins, Todd Sickafoose, and more.

Patterson has also published five other solo CDs:  Teach, Inspire, Be Real (2016), Build a Bridge (2013), Holy Days of Winter (2011), World Awake (2010), and Hip the Hip (2005).

Margo Free is a Canadian light language vocal channeller, electronic and sound-healing music producer, and performer whose ethereal voice and transformative soundscapes have mesmerized audiences worldwide. Born in Burlington, ON, her music weaves together the immersive worlds of electronic, rock, tribal and sound healing. Known for infusing emotional depth with activating light language vocals, Margo’s work transcends genres to tell a story of unity, healing, higher consciousness and the interconnectedness of humanity.

Nenĭa Iră est un projet fondé par Aurélia Nardini, qui revisite la notion de “musiques populaires” en frayant son chemin entre traditions, paysages électroniques et chansons pop.

Après un premier LP solo sorti en 2022 chez Vlad, elle s'entoure de Saskia Waledisch puis de François Le Roux (Selen Peacock, Belvoir). Ensemble, la musique prend de nouveaux virages et rappelle Tarta Relena, Daniela Pes ou encore Cocanha.

Artiste protéiforme basée à Marseille, Aurélia tire de son enseignement aux beaux-arts une approche transversale, se formant autant à la composition électroacoustique qu’aux musiques modales occitanes (formation Caminaires #1).

Jouant avec les timbres de ses bourdons rythmiques (tambourin à cordes, shrutibox) et des pratiques vocales issues des musiques traditionnelles modales  occitanes, elle les ancre dans un paysage électronique fait de glitch et de field recording qui révèle le potentiel cathartique de sa musique.

Sa voix scandant l'émotion pure en français révèle des strates intimes et puissantes, soutenue par les cordes basses du violoncelle.

En 2025, elle est artiste associée à la Cité de la Musique de Marseille, où elle jouera la première de création de son nouvel album, le 12 décembre 2025. 

Ce deuxième LP, “Remonte le courant”, sortira en 2026 sur le label Vlad.  Il est co-réalisé par François Le Roux, avec Saskia Waledisch au violoncelle et Chris Canot (Confuse) au mixage.
