De allereerste EU in Business op New Business Radio gemist?

In EU in Business staat de Herstel- en Veerkrachtfaciliteit centraal. Dit is een tijdelijk fonds waarmee de Europese Unie subsidies en leningen verleent aan lidstaten. Hiermee financieren de EU-landen hervormingen en investeringen die ze tussen februari 2020 en juni 2026 uitvoeren. De overkoepelende naam voor dit plan is NextGenerationEU. 

Het Nederlandse Herstel- en Veerkrachtplan bestaat uit 21 hervormingen en 28 investeringen. In elke aflevering van EU in Business wordt één van de projecten die hiermee gefinancierd wordt uitgelicht.

Deze aflevering stond in het teken van Quantum Delta NL. Dit Nationaal Groeifondsprogramma maakt van Nederland de Silicon Valley van quantumtechnologie. De Quantum Delta in Delft is een plek waar wetenschappers, ingenieurs en ondernemers samenwerken aan baanbrekende innovaties. 

De quantumrevolutie is een wetenschappelijke, technische en commerciële uitdaging, ongekend in de geschiedenis. In 2023, he published the book The Last Politician: Inside Joe Biden’s White House and the Struggle for America’s Future. The author delves into the internal dynamics of the first two years of Biden’s presidency. The book has been recommended to those who want to understand the 46th President of the United States and his actions.

Franklin Foer describes Joe Biden as increasingly isolated from the world. Recently, he has been surrounded only by his family and closest advisors, who blindly believe in his ability to win the elections. This, according to Foer, prevented Biden from stepping down as a presidential candidate in time, leaving the Democrats with little room to select an alternative candidate.  One of Biden’s most controversial moves, which could cast a shadow over his presidency, is the pardon of his son, Hunter Biden.

However, Foer’s interests extend beyond the Democrats. He is also intrigued by Silicon Valley leaders—how they think and the threats posed by technological breakthroughs.
