Vibes Von Winter

Everything fell into place for this year 'The Best of 2023'. Fourteen tracks have been selected from over a hundred tracks that appeared on the eight SVGR mixtapes released throughout the year. 

Every year, I'm amazed by the abundance of new music, and I can't help but wonder if 2024 will be any different. This marked the eighth year of the SVGR project, and the passion for electronic music remains strong. 

A huge thank you to all the loyal supporters who consistently contribute with lovely comments, likes, and shares. Without you, the motivation would have faded long ago. I hope you enjoy dancing to the selected 2023 tracks, and as the year comes to a close, there's nothing left to say but thanks. The pleasure has been all mine.

Ray of Spring - Vol. II

This mixtape is all about hanging on to the last ray of light, as winter approaches. At the same time, it's been a long winter here on Soundcloud for a while, giving us mixtape producers a hard time by decreasing our organic reach, and algorithms that restrain us from reaching our followers and audience. 

The last track on this mixtape ‘Turning the Page’ is an ode to that, referring to the plays that have declined over the years, while many mixtape producers have refined their selections and skills.

Endless Summer

As is tradition, I have listened to all of this year's SVGR mixtapes, which this year were limited to six releases, and selected the tracks that I think have worked best or that have given the most joy, dancing and singing. I have mixed the selected tracks together in a standalone mixtape, which encapsulates the spirit of the times for me from 2024.

Sound of Spring - Vol. I

The SVGR project and this profile might be silent for a while. I'll still check in now and then, and perhaps drop a mixtape if I'm inspired. But less traction and plays in the last years, due to changes in the Soundcloud algorithms (or the quality of my work), has left all the scouting hours and the time spend on a frequent mixtape production unbalanced.

Few facts about the SVGR project. SVGR is short for 'Svoger' which means 'Brother-in-law' in Danish and is pronounced [Swåger]. I'm from Copenhagen, and have been creating mixtapes for years to share the work of rare musicians, and inspire friends with new deep house tunes. Playing 'Live' I'm one half of the dj duo 'DJ Svoger' and SVGR has been my solo-project. 

SVGR is a private initiative with no commercial strings attached, and thanks for all the listening, following, reposts, comments, and likes through the years.
