DISCLAIMER:  Despite the title and the thumbnail, this track has nothing to do with Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (sorry to all of the Twiki and Dr. Themopolis fans out there, I didn't mean to clickbait you with this.)  

No, this track is about the Space Race--and specifically, those seven Americans who proved they have "The Right Stuff."  (If Icarus wasn't already dead..that might have done it right there.)  What you're hearing is the moment when Gordo and Gus and John and Wally and Alan and Deke and Scott get to see the Mercury capsule for the first time--brought out by Werner Von Braun and his team of captured German scientists.  

...and they realize that instead of being test pilots (much less Astronauts), they're just human test subjects...another monkey shot into space to see if they'll live long enough to return to Earth.    

They know this, because there's no window (much less a hatch with explosive bolts.)  They would have no agency--they would be passengers...sightseers (except for the fact that there's no window.)  This does not sit well with any of them.  

AND what better way to accompany this fateful moment than with a Moroder-y/New Order "Blue Monday"-esque new wave, disco, synthesizer, dance track...with nearly speed garage bass and the occasional neuro sound?  I can't think of any...so...THUS.  

This is classic Interbay.  A dance song with dialogue snippets--that's probably 70% of what all Interbay tracks (so far) have been.

Petunia Clark is a DJ born and based in Madrid whose sonic universe draws from a wide range of influences, from hip hop, R&B, disco, and techno to, above all, the many facets of electronic music. Her heart beats to the rhythm of underground house, deep house, and textured grooves, with a special devotion to the legacy of Chicago house and to powerful, energetic, and personality-filled female vocals. A lover of immersive synthesizers and soundscapes with depth, she adores dreamy and psychedelic sounds and enjoys mixing different textures and tones. Petunia has fun creating mixes that cross genres and evoke hypnotic emotions. For her, music has a clear purpose: to make you feel, awaken memories, connect with nostalgia, and, above all, create good vibes that make you want to dance.

I try to re-imagine music working from every genre. Retired Nurse/M.A. (early years) Singing started by accident during charity work as a teenager as a nurse. As I got more proficient in the arts, my interest got more experimental on the remix/studio edit side of things. I performed under many names through the years.
To many Projects from the 1980s to today to mention. Loved being behind the scenes. Today's projects consist of fans requested underground world club exclusives.
