As the story of your Journey, slowly unfolds

A soul you’ve touched, a mark you’ve, left

Others the damage, you left in your place
Maybe they smiled, at your laughter and your jokes
Or perhaps they mask the scares, your flaws provoked

It’s a kaleidoscope a shifting scene
Footnotes you’ve never seen

You're in a thousand novels
Each line a piece of you
With chapters lost to time
Only you know the truth

Whether part of a sentence, a paragraph a verse
You ask yourself repeatedly, why does it hurt
A hero to some, the villain to others

The Cave

I read a bit of Jung, but tell me if I’m wrong
You can’t be frightened, all your life
The cave you fear to enter, holds the treasure you seek
Shadows in your mind, the fear, to beat
The fear to beat

Campbell said something, I’m pretty sure
To push yourself, knock down those doors
Go where you don’t wanna, do what you have to do
Face all your demons, reflections, to pursue

Envy, malic, cruelty and greed
Loving, kind, gentle and sweet
There all just parts that make you, complete

Quiet the mind, and your soul will speak
Enter the cave you fear, to find the treasure you seek
Accept where you’re flawed, and always be true
And try to be the best, version, of you

The terror inside, shudders your spirit
Depths of your psyche, only you can visit			
What you’re searching, is one sense of you
Make peace with yourself, accept, the truth

Chapter One

Do you remember when, we broke the night
It screamed and fought, from the black and white
Your voices danced, where the old cross met
Leaving it to chance, as friendship wept

The track you played, was scared and worn
And all that remained, was the thunderstorm
It tore and smashed, with banshees cries
Frustration thrashed, in mistrust and lies

I travelled West, to find some relief
But your voice followed, couldn’t leave me in peace
And I howled and wept, to the moon that night
A lament I accepted, on the edge of heights
It couldn’t, be

The night was clear, the stars couldn’t hide
They burned so bright, but had long since died
That’s the illusion, not really being there
You couldn’t shine, you couldn’t dare

Forever ah-men, lost to a pregnant pause
The sacrificial cost, an abortive applause
And the lover’s dream, couldn’t be restored
Was lost in a scream, that fell to the shore

But the streets had changed, in denial and shame
