Starting the new year on a ravey note, Swedish DJ and producer Stina Francina shares a pummelling mix of techno sprinkled with bouncy trance for us. Learning her craft on the dancefloors of Gothenburg, Stina has since moved to Berlin, where she’s played Club OST, ÆDEN, Re:mise and many more. Armed with a versatile collection of industrial sounds to dreamy, trance-flavoured melodies, Stina approaches every set from a storytelling point of view, setting her apart on the Berlin circuit. But Stina has not forgotten her roots and regularly plays at home as a resident with the Swedish label, collective and event series @streckgbg. She’s a sick producer too, with releases on @ismusberlin, @carouseedinburgh, @mitsu2000 and HarderTrax. Turn her barrelling mix up loud to blow away the January cobwebs.

Spanish DJ and producer ISA delivers our next podcast, showcasing a lush fusion of trance, psy and techno. As the founder and resident DJ of Madrid-based collective EVOLVE, ISA promotes techno-led events to nurture the local underground music community in a safe and inclusive environment. In the UK, ISA heads up aurora collective, where she and members of the platform curate intimate parties and explore different subgenres within electronic music. Taipei-born DJ Kaytseng shares a psychedelic podcast for us this week. Wavey melodies, sleek drums and high-speed trance rhythms pulsate throughout, evoking a mesmerising aural experience. Based in Naarm, Kay has soundtracked local spots Colour, 24 Moons, Bourke Street Courtyard and many more, supporting artists like Mama Snake, DJ Spit and Schacke along the way. Previous mixes for CRUDE and Boiler Room have allowed her to reach a European audience too. While Kaytseng’s sound is typically fast and trippy, she peppers her mixes with soft vocals and pearlescent soundscapes, striking the perfect balance between brutal and hypnotizing moods. Watch out for Kaytseng this year—we’re sure you’ll hear much more from this talented selector.

Co-founder of London’s FLINTA* label, event and mix series Technomate (@tm8.club), olesia brings powerhouse energy and initiative to everything they do. A strong advocate for diversity and queer representation, they reject rigid ideas around gender, sexuality and outdated norms within the music industry. As a DJ, olesia moves across different realms of electronic music, blending high-tempo, trance-inspired melodies with heavy kickdrums and trippy soundscapes, all held together with vibrant energy.
