『台灣犯罪故事』從今年(2023)年初1/4星期三開始，在Disney Plus播出，每個禮拜播出一個單元（三集），共12集，於1/25日全數播畢。

整個影集由四個單元組成，分別是：

『出軌』『生死困局』『惡有引力』『黑潮之下』

『台灣犯罪故事』中的四個單元，以融合詐保，滅門血案，青少年犯罪和軍中霸凌等議題，受台灣真實案件啟發而改編。情節大多跟真實事件會有些許落差，主要是因為製作團隊想避免對被害者家屬造成二次傷害，不過在故事中，大家還是可以多少看到真實案件的影子！歡迎收看『台灣犯罪故事』跟著導演的鏡頭一起破案。

Hey there everyone! Sorry this is not a full episode like I'm sure many of you were hoping for when you saw this get uploaded. I'm just dropping a small update about what life has been like for me at the start of this new year. I've taken on some freelance work to do Audio Narrations and Voice work for some people, so I'be been focusing my time on those projects and the regular release of episodes for Moonlight Lore will just have to wait for a bit unfortunatly. But don't worry, a new, full length episode will be dropping at the end of the month, so I'm not leaving you all high and dry out there. Moonlight Lore is just simply taking a little break at the moment, so expect maybe just a few shorter episodes here and there that don't really amount to, what I would consider, as being regular episodes. During the investigation into Father Reynaldo’s murder, several letters were sent to various government agencies, the Archdiocese, and a few Catholic churches that claimed that Father Reynaldo was murdered because he had something to do with the civil wars in Latin America. Several civil wars had broken out in Central and South America during the 60s. These wars lasted well into the 90s, and Catholic priests who were ministering to various Indigenous peoples in those areas were put in the middle of those civil wars. These wars were very much about the rich against the poor. While the rich had backing from the US government, the poor had missionary priests who were only armed in faith, many of which would become martyrs for staying with the people. Even if they couldn’t protect those people, they ministered to them. I’ve done some very intensive research into Father Reynaldo and his career, nothing that I’ve seen or read has connected him to the civil wars in any way, but there are those out there who believe in the conspiracy theories that were created by these letters. After attending seminary in Ohio, Father Reynaldo’s career was spent entirely in New Mexico. He was not a missionary priest. While there is a very low probability that he had anything to do with the unrest in Central America, every lead had to be followed.

“The personal is political” was one of the early rallying cries of the Second Wave feminist movement. Decades later, the universal adoption of the internet has led to a new culture around cryptocurrencies with an ethos that could be summarized via similar phrasing: “The personal financial is political.”

After decades of languishing in rightful obscurity, extreme forms of anti-government libertarianism have seen a massive influx of converts by melding crank views about the Federal Reserve and fiat currency with a desire to get rich quick through buying and selling made-up digital tokens like Bitcoin, Ethereum, even joke ones like Dogecoin.

Most people don’t understand how cryptocurrencies work as a technical matter. But they also don’t understand the politics behind cryptocurrencies either. That’s a serious problem because underneath all the hype is a radical anti-government ideology that seeks not just to overthrow government currency but even democracy itself.

Our guest in this episode is David Golumbia, he’s the author of a book “The Politics of Bitcoin: Software as Right-Wing Extremism.” He’s also a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.
