Dragon, hailing from Bozeman/MT, and originally from outside of Boston. This man is a next level turntablist with immaculate mixing and track selections. 

Dragon's roots are bound at an early age from listening to hip hop. So, right away he had a strong liking for turntables and records and grew up constantly listening to all different types of music. He spins 45's and 7 " records, instrumentals, hip hop edits, remixes and different variations of original hit songs. Along with mixing Dnb, trip hop, and different variations of breaks.

HMC GUEST MIX 002 - Dragon

TAHUL, meaning "change" in Arabic, is a multifaceted take on 
metamorphosis. On one level, the track is representative of a 
forward progression in music, from using the standard yet 
arbitrary 12-tone equal temperament, which has been the 
most common tuning system in Western music since the late 18th century/19th century, to using a tuning system based on the biologically beneficial frequency (528Hz - see here: bit.ly/528HzEthanolStudy and here: bit.ly/528hzendo) as well as the numerical roots of the natural world - the golden ratio & fibonacci sequence. On another level, the track attempts to capture the experience of profound change sweeping through one's life. The track features a rolling, growling bass line, symbolic of the intense forward motion of journeying through time, then breaks down to a minimal saturated 808 section conjuring the movement into a time of instability and tension. Finally, the track climaxes with a heavy, hypnotic drop evoking the explosive transition out of crisis and onto a plane of growth and forward momentum in a positive direction.

Tahabdra is Wiggz Caro & Josh Weinberg, who met while attending Berklee College of Music.
