Bio:
Despite the many weird and wonderful submissions they get from Joe Public at Data Transmission – think everything from bottles of homemade hooch to used underwear – Data Transmission freely admit that we were most surprised to receive a cassette accompanied by a polaroid photo of alphabetti spaghetti spelling out ‘I AM RON MEXICO’ in the post at the tail end of last year. Intrigued, DT dusted off their Walkman and gave the tape a listen to find that what was on offer, was, well…surprisingly good!!! They then set about finding him online, only to find that there was not a single mention of him on the internet.

Several weeks passed and having written Ron Mexico off as an elaborate prank concocted by the over active imagination of one of their many friends with far too much time on their hands, Data Transmission didn’t expect to hear from him again. Then the postman delivered a bottle of tequila every day for twelve days. A postcard then followed, with the following message inscribed in Spanish “Now you’re suitably inebriated, perhaps we can talk on Facebook”. One brief chat later, Data Transmission had arranged for Ron to come with us to burgeoning snow festival, Rise, wherein we’d meet the mysterious selector in the flesh for the first time. His rider, predictably contained a variety of mescal, alongside “1 semi-inflated inflatable shark, a frozen banana and a copy of the Karate Kid on VHS”. The time in the French Alps with a masked Ron was fleeting and having ingested what we’d consider a potentially lethal amount of Mexican spirits, Ron Mexico left as much of an enigma as he’d arrived.

6 years on and Ron Mexico became the selector of all music for Data Transmission

After some gentle coaxing and assurances by Hobbs (UK) that he wouldn’t bring any “cameras or cops” ‘Ron’ instructed him to meet him at London’s St. Katharine’s Dock at 10.47 AM precisely with the promise he’d see him. And see him he did. Arriving by jetski, the still masked Mr. Mexico disembarked on to a pontoon wherein they set about creating 'Scolarisé à Domicile'.

The origins of the computer era meant introduction to the world of electronic music also for then-unknown DJ RiZa opportunity to compose songs of their own creation which reflects the current perception of time. His inspiration was still unforgettable Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk and others like them. With the advent of the new millennium, he was first time in touch with the mixer and learned to mix on turntables with assistance of Roland Kadela. He watched the EDM  scene itself, until recently, with the high view and extraordinary inspiration for world leaders such as Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and others...  Under the influence of this development has been adapted his style to mixture of dark & deep progressive sound with transitions to tech-house/deep house and melodic techno reflecting the sound of top underground scene. In 2013 he started with successful music production. For now he has releases on top world labels such as Traum Schallplatten, System Recordings, Stellar Fountain, Sexonwax etc..
