Okay. So. I've realized that-- I write what I want to hear, right? Well, I'm usually so busy with that part that I can't even appreciate what little bits of genius are in there (yeah, I'm a cocksucker fuck you) until years later-- usually, it involves the percussion, talking in particular about Lasst Train Ride and Hippin' Hoppin'-- and then I look like a braggart, but hey, if it's WORTH bragging about fuck you.

Tunes by Tahu (Original Stuff)

Song covers in the style of Wario's GBA titles. Source material can be from anywhere.

Waamixes: songs that are essentially the exact same as the original, but feature Wario soundfont(s). 
The waamix designation still applies to songs that more-or-less match the source material, even if the given MIDI has been heavily edited or doctored.*
Waarangement: songs that use the Wario soundfonts, but also sound sufficiently different from the source material: in the case of tracks that used a pre-existing MIDI, the song is considered the source material, not the .mid. 
Examples of waarangements include "Bad (Mario)", "Doodlecture (WL4II Doodle Woods)", "Fury Rock (WL4II Fiery Cavern)", and so on.

To best exemplify this distinction, compare "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Wa" with WL4II's Toy Block Tower, aka "Ob-la-di Obelisk". 
'Ob-la-wa' is a waamix, because it features WL4's instruments, and changes the drums a bit, but is functionally the same as the original song. 
'Obelisk' on the other hand is a waarangement, because its sound is wholly different to that of the original, due to the addition of swing, parts of the original TBT's drums, etc.

* Examples of this rule would include "I'm Only Sleeping in the Row", which sports a thoroughly repaired melody line and a split-up rhythm section, but only because the melody line was highly inaccurate, and WL4 can't handle so many direct voices as the rhythm section was asking for.

I'm happy about how close I came to it sounding like the idea in my head.

This melody isn't even true to the dream I heard it in, but I was so terrible at figuring out if I was harmonizing or actually getting it right that it ended up like this instead. The real one was in MAJOR for crying out loud

Pitched the song up +580 cents on a whim, realized it was in a/the key that matches up with Bad, and as we all know, if there's one soundfont that should always have a few MJ songs under it's belt, it would be Wario Land 4.

Too bad I didn't know about FL's tendency to screw with literally every programmable slider until some time after Iestyn himself literally pointed out that the pitch bending wasn't there. Son of a bitch. I made a fool of myself in front of the person whose MIDI I like better than the original Mystic Mansion.

I actually composed something, holy shit! And it isn't too long-winded and samey like Gusty Woods before it! this is a huge deal for me :D I'm pretty proud atm, and I hope that doesn't change between now and later ' - '

I also made that character design. The shutters around the eye are exactly what they look like-- flexible shutters that follow dude's pupil, which as you can kinda tell is a concave shape. The pointy parts you see are gold and shiny. The rest is a shade of blue similar to the background, and has a texture akin to somebody's tongue.

You've reached the home of the so-called "epic Wario" thing. I've a massive catalogue of waamixes and waarangements for yon nigras to peruse with hearty contentment, as they eat whole garlic loaves and shoulder bash their computer.

Sorry if uhhh the volume for tracks varies, or is just relatively all-over-the-place. Even though I usually keep my system vol. at 52, there have been times where I've changed it and forgot that I did, then started working on a project.

Q: Why do I use the Wario Land 4 soundfont to some capacity for so many tracks?
A: Because I love the way it sounds, obviously. Half the reason why I'll start making a MIDI in the first place is that I want to hear what it'd sound like with the Wario Land 4 soundfont.
