I had a rough idea recently for a battle theme for FRIEND, based off of the tracks “Digital Roots” and “BIT ROOTS”. These both play in areas where you can encounter it and it just seemed right. I might do more with it eventually.

Probably inspired by @thatguywiththegibus’s Gaster battle theme.

Whenever i'm particularly dejected or something and my hands r tired i randomly compose a melody (going between a midi keyboard and fl) until I get too exhausted to continue/feel better. I usually keep these to myself  & theres 9 million of these in my files but i'm sharing this not really for any reason other than I felt like doing that today

Deltarune - Scarlet Forest (Arrangement)

THE HALLOWS ~

As I follow the old monster, the place relinquishes its archaic nature, leaving behind the ancient pillars and towers that climb upon towards the sky, and so, I admit to my stupefaction silently, admiring the pathways turned into chancel, the ruination of rocks converted into impossible cathedrals.

Radiant oceans embellishes, and stretches through the world, carving its veins, casting the light. An architecture that could only be originated from minds beyond the unfeasible limits of nature.

Bridges and soaring obelisks, passages dignified, levels that do not find below and does not find limit in the sky. Regal and ceremonious, the symbols are forever plasmed into walls, described by pressages carved prudently that surround them, pressages that pray for hope and salvation, fireflies in the night.

5. Ancient Hymn

Track inspired by Lost Girl motifs and scraps of the "Knight Final Phase Concept".

Can work as some sort of ending song for Chapter 5 where it ends in a really bittersweet cliffhanger moment? Perhaps even screwed up and this plays like a juxtaposition.

Coldwater

A different spin on "Your Best Friend" made for SourAppleStudios' "Horrortale" AU. 
Something simple, but classy.

Your Only Ally

An experiment in progressively adding more instruments to something. The melody is simple, but catchy. 

Fun fact: this song came into being when I first began work on 'We're the best'; I thought it was neat, so I saved it as a separate little project before getting back to work. Of course, due to the similarities, I'm going to add it to the playlist, because I'm lame and can only come up with completely original things when I sleep (true story). 

I guess (parts of(?)) this would play for whatever the equivalent of the Undyne chase sequence is; probably the bit towards the end where V.I.N.CENT and Maximilian finally duke it out. Depending on how far into the chase you were, a different part of the song will play (the first part playing at the beginning, the last part playing towards the end, obviously).

Run away! (Partially original)

I like this song. I also like transcribing songs that I like. Hence, this thing. The original is better, I feel, but I think this sounds close enough to the original to warrant uploading.

Telstar (The Tornados) Arrangement

The idea came from when I was thinking about Ganon's laugh from the Zelda II Game Over screen and "Feel Gooderang, Inc." at more or less the same time. I think I did a good job of emulating the "Half Singing, Half Talking" effect for that first part.

I wanted to transcribe this song, so I started doing it. Initially, though, I couldn't get the beat right, and I also had most of the instruments from "Hotel" in use already, so I inserted the background guitar deal, made it match the other notes, and then just kinda did the rest of the song.

I pitched 'Blue Wrath Hotel' up in FL Studio to see if I could get it to match the pitch of the original 'Hotel' background guitar, and I found that it sounded good at +240. Then, I slowed the tempo from 140 to 96 (the tempo of IRSWE), and I liked how THAT sounded too; made for a good combination. Finally, to add to the chillness effect, I removed some of the background guitar's notes. Then, I did a little bit of moving around for the Vives parts. Obviously, most of the instruments were changed to match that of IRSWE; multiple instruments use the Vives instrument, so at certain points, it makes it sound like improv jazz, which is a nice bonus.

By the way, I made the sprite edits you see in the image, if that wasn't obvious.

Sorry if uhhh the volume for tracks varies, or is just relatively all-over-the-place. Even though I usually keep my system vol. at 52, there have been times where I've changed it and forgot that I did, then started working on a project.

Q: Why do I use the Wario Land 4 soundfont to some capacity for so many tracks?
A: Because I love the way it sounds, obviously. Half the reason why I'll start making a MIDI in the first place is that I want to hear what it'd sound like with the Wario Land 4 soundfont.

Wario Land 4 (for pretty much anything, because I love WL4's sound)
OmegaGMGS2 (My go-to soundfont strictly because of how many High Quality out-of-the-way instruments there are)
SGM V2.01 (For when the OmegaGM variations of instruments are lacking)
Touhou (Flute, Saxophones, as well as some Basses and Harpsichord, otherwise same as SGM, where it's to stand in for OmegaGMGS2)
Earthbound (for Overdriven Guitar and other Pokey-related instruments)
Mother 3 (for 8-Bit and Synth stuff, usually)

*Appreciate it; altogether it took me something like 8/9 hours. The first 5/6 to listen, write down what I'm hearing, switch instruments, repeat over 200 times. Then, many months later, go through it all over again, this time to write down the Preset/Sound Bank relationships for each one, because I didn't the first time, and my laziness came back to haunt me once I started fiddling with Polyphone, intending to rename the WL4 presets and make my life easier.
