very small tinkering around with the project file to include some of the more recent instrument findings people like collision chaos radio have found. even though some of the instruments in the old version were fine and actually surprisingly accurate, I think it sounded like it was from 1998 instead of 1992/1993 lol

now has a passing resemblance to sonic cd. I've also threw most of the samples through akai emulators and done other little touches now i'm far more familiar with pre-DAW production techniques

What's the source? It's a souprise. All you need to know is, for whatever reason, a Mega Man X version of the one bit that anyone actually remembers sounded really dope when I pictured it, so I went ahead and put something together. It was originally at 140bpm, and kept the original's Swing, but it sounded better at 161bpm, and without the swing, sounded truer to MMX's style.

The secret to making the lead overdriven so punchy and rad is something i learned from working with WL4 the guitar solo at the end of crescent moon village has some of its notes scooted up by a few 24ths of a block and boyyyy do those few-too-soon 24ths have a fantastic effect on electric guitars

Cool roy stood no chance up on that sign when they can jump. *sobs because of dead friends and only 2 of the gang made it out alive* Alright I gotta go, were about to head out to look for some supplies. I was working on a song in FL when suddenly I had this potent urge to go be Sheen for a few odd minutes. I've done better Carls before, and my Jimmy will probably always suck ass (because he sounds too much like my Carl), but this is probably my A Minus game when it comes to Sheen, so it's pretty close to my highest notch. Also, because I was improvising, I didn't have time to remember what Priss Pringle sounded like to a tee? So, as a result it sounds a bit more 'generic heroic man', but to be fair that's almost what that voice is like anyway, so nothing much lost there.
