2020 Adam Audio Competition

Create 30 seconds of music to go with the picture.  When I looked at this picture at first it conveys what might feel like something normal.  

If you gaze at it for just a little longer... it begins to feel a little more like a veneer of something else.   Notice the lighting, every shop window other than the cafe is empty,  the apartment windows above empty too..  The light behaves weirdly...etc.

I get something very dystopian from this scene...something that at first placates my senses but when I look deeper,  something a bit more sinister seems to be lurking here.  

I guess that is what being an artist is all about right?  Looking for meaning in things..  Peace and love!

News: Well a lot I could say...but going through some issues right now.  So I am on occasionally...though a lot less than  I would like.   You are always my peeps and  I love you clouders as brothers and sisters.   Peace and love my friends!

Tainted Icarus has a protest/grunge/rock type of feel.   Sharing a similar vibe and feel of great bands like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Cult. 

Slogging it out my home studio and trying to understand the deep sorcery that is Music Recording, Mixing, Mastering.    Jesus if someone had told me how damn complicated the topic was... I might have reconsidered.   

I keep it real, listen to your music and comment.  Be supportive of myself and others and I have your back.  I stay out of the rampant game playing and focus on finding real people making music. Is that you? If so pull up a chair and PM me.

Bio
In 2007 at age 63 Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called “How To Play The Guitar for Dummies”. Since then he hasn’t looked back. 

Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler’s music seeks to re-capture the Classic Vibes  from the 70’s & 80’s. To best describe his music imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash & Leonard Cohen at the Hotel California & share a bottle of wine with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his personal vision of the world surrounding him. 

For several years Peter was part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area.  He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

In 2020 Peter teamed up with Johnny Vienneau, a multi- talented musician and Producer from Montreal and recorded his first album of cover songs called "Self Portrait".  https://soundcloud.com/peter-wheeler/sets/self-portrait-1

Today Peter continues to pursue his passion for The Arts by doing portraits of friends, family and people he greatly admires. In 2021 he became a re-born again environmentalist and his songwriting is now focused on increasing awareness of the climatic challenge facing the planet.

Rippin Rhymes is an international underground hip hop/rap movement consisting of several multi-talented recording artists from around the world... From Belfast (N.Ireland) to Bradford (England), Broadmeadows (Austrailia) and all the way to Maryland and California (U.S.A), Rippin Rhymes have previously released a string of successful international mixtapes featuring Bone Thugs n Harmony's Bizzy Bone along with his 7th Sign members and other various artists from around the world, as well as a backcatalogue of magazines featuring artists such as Krayzie Bone, Enois Scroggins, Prostreamz, and more....
With a history steeped in the underground battle scene, a strong affiliation with UK Wrestling's Heavy Weight Champion Mustafa Khan and a clutch of talented artists spanning the world, Rippin Rhymes hopes to take hip hop back to its gritty underground roots, delivering meaningful lyricism over thumping beats whilst touching on hardcore subjects that the mainstream won't.

A founding member of the Rippin Rhymes brand Mrs. Rhymes is a singer/rapper from Belfast N.Ireland who has previously recorded material for UK Wrestlings Persian Heavy Weight Champion Mustafa Khan, as well as featuring on collaborations with artists such as Lost Angel of Havik, Austrailia's Shorty Mic, The Outlawz E.D.I.Mean and more.

My entire project focusses on Ambient, Hip Hop, Game, Electro, Experimental, Orchestral and Soundtrack music. My themes are often mysterious, suspenseful and dark but also vivid, epic and powerful, referring to Mystery, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Action-Thriller Soundtracks in various media formats.
