Here's the story behind the music:

It depicts a battle between american indians and an american regiment. It starts with a military march into indian ground. The second tempo change, along with the intro is native indians lurking in the dark getting ready for their attack, then the attack. The third change is natives strolling through the remains of the battle picking up pieces and tending to their own injured. Then the 4th change is the second attack, total chaos.

Appeasement

I have a lot of faith that people can be strong enough to recognize where they have done (or are doing) harm and make sincere amends. I also believe that people have the power to heal and forgive wrong doings. It takes great strength to walk together through the fire of our pains and come out the other end holding hands, recognizing and honoring our differences while acknowledging and celebrating our similarities.  

May everyone get a chance to break bread together, enjoy some wine, and share some laughs. 

Thanks again to Calebass, Jon, and Janine for joining me together on a 3rd track. We make a great team! It was really fantastic to have Chris O and Belial Pelegrim finally join a track on my page. Chris O and Belial are two SoundCloud legends in my opinion. I am so grateful to be making music with all my favorite people. If only I had more time to make music with all of my favorites on the cloud. Who knows, maybe I do!

Then I had an idea, to create something more upbeat…and to Ren’s credit, she went with it.  Before long, we had created ‘Northern Lights’, a track that is anything but soft or slow. Our first collaboration together, and something new to kick off the new year! @dough-factory sent me the main bassline running through this track, and another synth line. Then after I arranged and added to the track, he contributed the two more atmospheric sounds that can be heard in the background. This came together very smoothly -- hopefully more to follow!
