Notes: 

Sometime ago I found this wonderful music piece by Brian Wilson titled, Talk To Me (https://soundcloud.com/rexgoliath-1/talk-to-me).  After a couple of weeks I reached out to Brian to see if he would be game for me doing some writing and singing.  

In an effort to keep this short and to the point.. it was a wonderful experience to try to push and prod the vocals into place... trying to get them into the same room.  Lots of tweaks and moves in very small increments to get to this place.

As is customary with my work... is it perfect..no.  The lyrics have been pushed and prodded in an effort to maximize meaning and reduce chatter.  I feel Brian wrote a piece of music that deserved nothing less.

As a producer I create my own beats, riffs, arrangements, structures, melodies and basslines, finalise all tracks with my own mixing and mastering. Sometimes I add my own backing vocals and often write lyrics. I create all my own titles and themes, design artwork, and when i have time, promote and support other artists as much as I can, I got into music at a very early age, I love all types of sound/genres especially electronic music, hiphop/rap, house, techno, 70s soul/funk, some rock but mainly....anything that sounds good! I started making dance music with a Commodore Amiga as a young teenager and over the years, through my love of music loud, I have blown my fair share of speakers..(hence my other name "THESPEAKERBREAKER"). Tainted Icarus has a protest/grunge/rock type of feel.   Sharing a similar vibe and feel of great bands like Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Cult. 

Slogging it out my home studio and trying to understand the deep sorcery that is Music Recording, Mixing, Mastering.    Jesus if someone had told me how damn complicated the topic was... I might have reconsidered.   

I keep it real, listen to your music and comment.  Be supportive of myself and others and I have your back.  I stay out of the rampant game playing and focus on finding real people making music. Is that you? If so pull up a chair and PM me.

Bio
In 2007 at age 63 Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called “How To Play The Guitar for Dummies”. Since then he hasn’t looked back. 

Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler’s music seeks to re-capture the Classic Vibes  from the 70’s & 80’s. To best describe his music imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash & Leonard Cohen at the Hotel California & share a bottle of wine with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his personal vision of the world surrounding him. 

For several years Peter was part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area.  He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

In 2020 Peter teamed up with Johnny Vienneau, a multi- talented musician and Producer from Montreal and recorded his first album of cover songs called "Self Portrait".  https://soundcloud.com/peter-wheeler/sets/self-portrait-1

Prior to embarking on his musical odyssey Peter's main passion was painting having had several major exhibitions and loyal patrons. https://www.facebook.com/media/set?set=a.46081025804&type=3    

Today Peter continues to pursue his passion for The Arts by doing portraits of friends, family and people he greatly admires. In 2021 he became a re-born again environmentalist and his songwriting is now focused on increasing awareness of the climatic challenge facing the planet.
