Flaminia's first solo release on 47 features four mesmerizing techno rollers.

London-based artist Flaminia makes her solo 47 debut with four sophisticated techno tracks that perfectly balance brooding intensity with dreamlike atmospherics. A producer with EPs on Samurai Music, VSK Series and her own label, Metempsychosis Records, Flaminia builds on her canon of previous work with 47033, adding to the label roster's growing arsenal of expertly honed dance floor releases.

On the A-side, two four-to-the floor heavyweights—"Pure" and "Burn Loudly"—offset bone-shaking kicks with plangent melodies that make these tracks uplifting despite their ferocity. The B-side takes a darker turn; "Back To Zero" is an icy broken beat that shines in its stuttering rhythmic complexity, while the closer, "Dissolved," is just as foreboding: synths scrape and shatter like shards of glass against a spare and crunchy kick while Flaminia's voice reverberates in the background. The entire package will be available for purchase on December 9th, 2022.

"This mix is like a disordered diary of the mind with old and new memories, distorted, convoluted, like feelings. Intertwined with reality, like a labyrinth or a dream. All these tracks resonate strongly. I wanted to include some old and new favorites because of how special they feel. From electroacoustic compositions and soundscapes to drone, unclassifiable experimental music and noise, doom, early industrial, post-rock, and post-punk. In no particular order. A big thank you to these artists (tracklist below) you bring joy in our strange era. You'll also find in this mix two tracks released on my label @mutantmodality (Houses Of Worship aka Thisquiearmy & Hellenica - from Montréal; Der Mord aka Yannick Franck - from Brussels ) and two ambient tracks I composed (as 'Ottoman Grüw' and 'Jean Grünewald'). "Stretched Skin" by Fangarm is a bold, immersive journey through the tension and transformation of sound. With a mix of modular techno and noise, the album pushes listeners to the edge, exploring the physical and emotional boundaries of both the self and the soundscape. Opening with "Always", the album starts with a reflective tone before diving into the chaotic energy of "AZA". Tracks like "Indifferent" and "Ohm" add depth, offering moments of cool detachment and grounding resonance. The playful yet unsettling "Pravda (Prada)" and the tactile "Skin" reflect the album’s dual themes of tension and release. With "Stretched", the album amplifies its sense of emotional and physical limits, while "Tongues" introduces discordant voices and fragmented rhythms. Closing track "Way" leaves listeners suspended, caught between resolution and uncertainty. A raw and experimental work, "Stretched Skin" combines heavy textures and intricate sound design, offering a visceral listening experience that challenges and captivates.

Fangarm is an experimental, improvised modular techno act known for creating powerful soundscapes that blend noise and techno. As a modular techno artist, Fangarm performs live, using hardware synthesizers and drum machines to produce unpredictable, dynamic sets that evolve in real time.
These performances are characterized by intricate layering, heavy textures, and intense energy. In addition to performing, Fangarm is a co-creator of the Norwegian label Physical Pattern, which focuses on cutting-edge modular techno and experimental electronic music.
Fangarm’s work exemplifies the experimental spirit of modular techno.

FANGARM - Always

The EP is a true declaration of love to this girl, but also to this music that makes us dance with our eyes closed, tears running on our cheeks. Composed of six tracks, the first one, ‘Cette Fille', quickly reflects the 80’s influences of the artist. End of Mortal Life signs a post-punk track that seems to takes its energy from a melancholic and addictive emotion. ‘Circle of Love’ illustrates a beautiful collaboration between the artist and DJ Varsovie, whose characteristic vocals resonate with synths and catchy electro. The A side closes on ‘Disco Paranoïa’, a more adventurous track that weaves video games samples and techno into a dancefloor killer track.
