TAKT Mix Series is my first introduction to an artist, our first correspondence or conversation in person. 
Remember how you encountered a DJ at a bar or in the smoking area after their performance and struck up a conversation on topics close to both of you. Or perhaps you accidentally stumbled upon an unfamiliar producer in the studio and discovered new music...
That's why in this mix series, I try to find out the journey the artist has taken and what music they hold with great love in their library.

For number 100 and 1 we are warmly welcoming Les Yeux Orange. The Parisian duo is well known for presenting fantastic DJ set all over Europe but also for creating a colorful high quality online platform where the regulary present finest bits from all over the electronic music world.

We are happy to host their late summer DJ selection, a wonderful 69min collection of music that sounds like the prefect closing for a sunny festival weekend. May it help us all to keep warm during the times ahead, no matter how dark or cold they might appear.

Astore is the alias of DJ, producer, and vinyl collector Denis Lisin from Samara, Russia. He has released his own podcast titled 'Sounds of Love,' which aired on 16Bit.FM.
Astore's music can already be found on labels such as Soviett Records and Nubians of Plutonia Records, and soon, his track 'Spring Run' will be featured on the Dutch label ITALO HEAT as part of a VA compilation.
One of his tracks is also set to be included in our upcoming compilation, so be sure to keep an eye out for releases from TAKT Recordings.

Franz Scala’s sets are as diverse as the music he curates as label head of Slow Motion. Weaving smoothly between Italian Dance, Psychedelic Disco and Proto House, Franz quickly turns the dance floor into a vignette-tainted retro nostalgia rave fueled only by his music. 

Born in Italy and now a resident of Berlin for a decade Franz has his roots in noise rock and elettronica but was led by the record collectors passion into acquiring a taste for modern and not so modern dance floor music. He frequently inspires dancers in clubs all over Europe with his eclectic blend of spacey House, New Wave, Italo and Acid speckled with hints of Electro and Chicago House.

Aside from producing on his own imprint, he has releases on World Unknown, Bordello A Parigi, Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Mechatronica or Discodromo´s Cocktail d’Amore Music. Franz is link to many events around the german capital such as the monthly Wrong Era, Italian Dance Wave and Italorama night in Panorama Bar, Magic Waves or New Dance Fantasy Festival.

Beside long time collaboration with Sameheads he is regular dj at Griessmuhle and Salon zur Wilden Renate. In 2013 he joined Dimitri SoEmotional in the “Studio Luce” project.

This year my dream came true - the track of C/TRO project by studio wizard Mykola Makeyev and me came out on vinyl. 
Thanks to @Bordello-a-Parigi's decision to choose our bass-infused synth-oriental track for the prominent ‘Buone Vacanze’ compilation. 
Later this year, vol. 2 and vol. 3 came out, perfectly compiled and shaped. 
So the task was quite easy to compile. A1-A1-A1, then A2-A2-A2.. etc.

I wish the view from this soundscape could be shiny and bright, for everyone on Earth. 
I wish the nightmare Ukraine is in could be over as soon as possible, and the clear and blue winter sky will be full of Christmas Lights.

TAKT Mix Series 025 - Leap

Leap is a music enthusiast inspired by the aesthetics of the 80s, actively showcasing musical genres such as italo, disco, and nu-disco to the audience. 
Since 2019, he has been producing his own music and has managed to feature his releases on labels such as Estetika (including a compilation with Alberto Melloni, Romain FX, Johannes Albert, and Donald Dust) and Do Me. 
It is worth mentioning that at the Bruma Festival, Carol Mattos opened with Leap's track "Ray." 
Currently, Leap continues to reinterpret the tube aesthetics of the 80s in a modern manner. Additionally, he hosts the Biosystem podcast on radioplato.by, a local non-commercial radio station.

Timur Khusainov aka ESB (RU). Musician from Kazan (Tatarstan), Russia Federation who loves Micro & Clockwork Music. 
Resident of @utrorec & one of the founders of @maturlabel. 

It's always difficult to talk about oneself and describe one's perspective from the outside, which is why I believe that the material I've prepared should tell you much more. Currently, I'm in the final stages of working on my album, as well as preparing my other works for release. The mix was recorded in August 2023 at a party dedicated to the 2nd anniversary of the Walkers formation, in the historical center of Nizhny Novgorod. Since TAKT originated there, I never once thought that the mix could appear anywhere else!

Dominik André is an active force in the Zurich music scene – as a DJ and with his genre-busting label Subject To Restrictions Discs. He is known for his unconventional selection and for creating deep and transcendent as well as ecstatic moments on dancefloors of Festivals and Clubs.

A decade on, a wide-scope vision has crystallized that blurs the lines of dance music. Always attracted by the weird and the unknown, Dominik André blends quirky techno with mutant trance, always immersed in a Wave and post-punk-inspired aesthetic.

As former resident at Club Zukunft, now regularly seen at Kauz Club, Kasheme and Stereo in his hometown of Zurich, he also got recognised outside the city. This has taken him to clubs such as Motel Campo in Geneva, Arkaoda in Istanbul, Astron in Athens, Klub Kegelbahn in Lucerne and to festivals like Am Bach, Lethargy, Electrosanne or Montreux Jazz.

He also shares his broad musical understanding on radio stations around the world. He currently hosts the monthly radio show Murky Rhythms Collide on Radio Raheem in Milan and has made guest appearances on radio stations including Rinse FM in London, Kiosk Radio in Brussels and the much-missed Red Light Radio in Amsterdam.

Besides his DJ career, Dominik André has a reputation for learning about and documenting electronic music and its scenes as a journalist and publicist. When he's not DJing, he takes care of the creative and administrative direction of his label Subject To Restrictions Discs. With more than 20 releases the label has established itself internationally as a place for 80s- and 90s-influenced music with cross-genre aspirations.

Like many kids in late 80s/early 90s Belgium, @aaguilaa was captivated by the swirling innovation of EBM and New Beat. But only after experiencing the full-body feeling of italo disco and hi-NRG played over a proper soundsystem, he developed his lifetime love for neon lights and for the darker, synthesized side of dance music.

@baster-jazzster is a DJ, a member of the formations Excellent, Metamorphoses, and Amateur Exotic, as well as a resident of @opium-underground. His selections regularly play in the most iconic places for music lovers and lively spots for party-goers, where good taste is highly valued.

This set was recorded in early March at the "Touch" party in Blanc club. "The mood was for interesting dances, eclecticism, and various genres. The mix includes new artists from Brazil and forgotten old tracks."
