Young Astronauts Club is a stadium rock group featuring singer / songwriter / guitarist / multi-instrumentalist / producer Mic (Michael James Macintosh), singer / songwriter / keyboardist / multi-instrumentalist / producer Krs (Crystal Dawn Macintosh) and a continuously active, rotating cast of musicians, vocalists, producers, sonic / visual artists and remixers. As primogenitures of post rock, their collective mission is to continue to bring music forward, into the 21st century and beyond.

Tall Blonde Man is a genre-defying band combining rock guitars, new wave electronic soundscapes and experimental elements of Prog. 

Formed at Frodsham High School in 1985, the line-up quickly settled as a four piece made up of Jon Clark (Vocals & Bass), Ste Bate (Guitars), Chris Burton (Drums) and Dave Ryder (Keyboards). One of their first headline gigs saw a young Gary Barlow as their support act and in 1987 the band recorded their debut EP, ‘Money Can’t Buy….’.

Their EP passed across the desk of Radio 1 Controller, Johnny Beerling, but success proved elusive and the band went their separate ways.

In 2006, the incredibly sad news came that Jon Clark had passed away.

A decade on, and Ste, Chris and Dave’s paths crossed once again. In a wave of nostalgia, they started making music. The guys settled on a new band name, ‘Tall Blonde Man’, as a tip of the hat to their former bandmate and friend, Jon.

In 2020, Tall Blonde Man released their debut EP ‘The End We Start From’, and in 2025 they released their debut full-length album, the ironically titled ‘Perfect Life’. Drawing inspiration from spending their formative musical years in the 80s, the band’s sound mixes nostalgia with the contemporary, their lyrics reflective of the world around them.
