Very happy to share the recording of my first performance in Copenhagen at Hausgemacht, a lovely combination of dining and dancing in a former green packing warehouse. It was a wonderful night with a great lineup, big honor to play together with @rosa-victoria-vesterg-rd-madsen @mortox and @justemmaoffical . I wanted to create a deep, dreamy and spacy podcast that mimics, from one beat to the other, the inward spiral of thoughts and breaths within one’s self. This podcast reflects to my last year which was driven by strong, emotional feelings. I named this set: “Lotus”, a flower which symbolizes resilience and fearlessness. As the lotus flower, which is able to grow and blossom while surrounded by muddy waters, we should always try to reach our full potential, despite any obstacles or negativity we face.

ABOUT Mia Kaltes:

“Making people dance and offering them a place to escape to, is what makes me tick,” says Mia. For her, openness of mind represents adapting her music to each different moment so she never limits herself to only one kind of music.

Since 2004, Mia Kaltes, a Swiss-Italian who lives in Biel/Bienne, has been mixing in different clubs and alternative places in Switzerland, Prague, Italy, Russia, and Germany. She is a DJ and producer for the label FINEFOOD RECORDS. In February 2017, she and her friend, Abused Disco, released the album "Papillon", composed of two tracks (Techno / Tech House) under the Swiss label: THE LIMBIIC SYSTEM RECORDS. She tries to play vinyl whenever possible but she also went digital, and plays on 4 track Traktor using two MIDI controllers.

I stumbled upon Sukhmanee rather recently through one of her sets 'Naga' and right then and there I was spell bound by her water like flow, shes's earthy, she's fiery, she's natural. Sukhmanee keeps deep interest in astrology and the mysteries of the mind. She's currently studying Shamanic astrology and has also completed Western and Vedic astrology.
