This is the interlude version. There's another version with the words to the song in it. The words came to me first actually, in the bathroom of all places. There was just a little piece "She's sponsored by the vermin..." i kept singing over and over in my head, and i was going to do a rap for it but after i did the guitar part, trying to feel it out, it just made sense to make a "song" song. And then hearing the guitar it felt like it's own thing. I still put the words on top though, but that's why there are two different versions (of the same frickin thing.)

the song is called "Bleached Golden Blue" because that's what i saw when i heard it while making it. if you don't understand that, it's the color in the clouds in the picture and the feel of them rolling in silence above, all around, and all through you. if you could inhale that energy and color and let it vibrate in you while exploding into freedom, whatever is freedom for you... that's what this song is about.

Byrd did the beat and I think Glyphe' did the hook after hearing it. With those two things done, knowing us, we probably just sat in a library (we had a library at the time... like an actual organized and half labeled room full of shelved books and videos, etc., crazy times) with the hook and beat playing and a mic set up waiting for us. It's motivational. We got with our fam on this one which is always fun. We love collabs. It means someone's doing something right. Everyone packed into the studio with the energy buzzing as the beat is playing... that silence and just pens scratching on pads...  now and then someone laughs or makes a noise at some bars they came up with, all of us just having fun and pushing each other at the same time. It's a motivational thing, but everyone working together so the song comes out as dope as it can be.  Keeping everything in house is cheaper and efficient... you get exactly what you were looking for... for free! lol.

The Glitch of Glyphe on the mic (with a little bit of Zoey in the background). There's a little byrd on the strings and beat. It's dope to be in the studio together and get ideas flowing and actually craft a song. There's actually two versions of this song. The other one is more west coast hip hop and gangsta in the vibe. It's on a hard drive somewhere, hopefully not still in cali. Sometimes you lose some good music due to technical or personal, sometimes economic difficulties. C'est la guerre. Anyways, times make the music which makes the time, if you can make the time to make and enjoy the music. This one was good times which made some good music. The 1953 Jaguar XK-120 is the car in the cover art. This delivery of the song felt kinda smooth like that car. Classy like. Hope you dig it.

Some of the vibe in this is hopefully captured in the artwork. That feel of slow steady smoke rising from the grit of the city after a fresh rain. How majestic the clouds look moving across the ground in the woods and rising above night city skies. It's a push and pull on soul, kinda, being a city kid... the contrast to that is being in the woods, nature. This is a bit of a dance in both. Missing it. Feeling it. Being in states at the bottom of it, and the pressure of it. It's kinda hard to put into words. You know the feel though. Memories are in here too. Some of it is hair... smiles... tensions... slipping away. Music is interesting. Your natural language is vibration, so music is easier to speak than human.

So... as far as "K". There was a time..... Yup. After that, I dunno, quiet is a good thing. Lack is where everything comes from, so to have silence allows you to produce sounds and find vibes and WHY the vibes. You cant fill a full space. You can't produce or grow where there's no room, so to find that void in your self and not run from it, but to explore what's missing is a creative process. Here, peace and stillness was missing. There was a lot going on in life and music was lacking, so to have a moment alone with a guitar and bass.... no one around, nothing to do....  no judgments or pressures, no demands... no real wants or needs.. just a peaceful quiet moment, ALONE.... it was a good feeling. This is a little bit of a celebration of that, especially knowing how all things pass. Enjoy the happy while happy and allow your self to just be. 

Annnnd yeah, there was that thinking about... K stuff. There was time and space to do that then too.

There's a little byrd working with the clowns on this one. (The Zephaniah Chesterfield Project (@zephaniahchesterfield) is some fam in Philly. We collab with a few folks, usually in the home team camp or one from yesterdazes... all family. Different groups produce different sounds because everyone's on different vibes. Everyone evolves differently at their own pace. There is no "good" or "bad" music, just music on a different level of a different vibe... you have a different perception of understanding of it and where it came from is all. You'll love it one day, hate it the next, be confused about it, and then completely get it and then get over it. In all of that, the song never changed. It is what it is. Period. Beach. Pit. some Fireball. and stuff. Space too, but... stuff. 
Hey, it's Byrdo (J-Byrd, little byrd, John-Patrick, etc.)... So where this came from is one evening, can't remember if it was before or after alcohol, but one evening I was sleep having a dream. In the dream I was with a "her" and it was in a zombie filled post apocalyptic version of the world. She'd gotten bit and wanted to go to the beach to die. So we're driving to the beach... she was driving first to get the full experience, but as "it" sunk in more and more then I had to take over with her just steering and eventually just passed out in my lap while driving. Wanted to make sure she could feel the wind in her hair, smell the change in scenery from city to ocean.... Driving thru all of the rubble and ashes of what used to be Venice, Ca, we finally ends up at the beach so she could see the sun set on the ocean one last time. You make things like that a priority when it seems to be just you and them left in the world and everyone else is out to literally rip you into pieces and feed on you mindlessly.... which, oddly, she was about to join the ranks of. So, that's going on in the dream.... As we get to the beach... IN REAL LIFE I gets a phone call. So one friend was having a bit of a meltdown, boyfriend issues, with the crying and fast talking anger and all of that... So I had one eye half open, and could see the room I was in... and somehow, the other eye was closed and could still see the dream. TRIPPY. So as friend is talking and going off on the phone, I'm making a bonfire in the dream, yet still talking to friend trying to calm her down in real life at the same time. So we were kind of enjoying the bonfire in the dream, and eventually "she" slipped away. It was an immense bit of grief. In dreams you're fully there, you somehow know the whole backstory instantly. To an onlooker you just ended up at the beach, but as the dreamer you've been in that world since you were born and know it all as reality so all of the emotions and scenery, everything there is real. So, then comes the tricky part.... still trying to keep friend from crying and whatever while half sleep on the phone, meanwhile in the dream, dealing with having to prepare to put a bullet in the last connection to humanity you have and love outside of your self.... while drinking the last of the fireball. Some stuff happened after that which linked the two worlds in a very odd but exciting way which had to do with werewolves, but later for that.
