An evening in Zürich.

When Maria and Luis, better known as the Portuguese duo @ohxala, get their magic hands on their musical gear, and their unmistakeable rhythms and grooves hit your ears, you can be quite sure your body will get quickly into motion. The colourful and energetic musical signature the couple has developed throughout the past 7 years, carries their never-ending love for making people dance and smile. Their world music infused electronica emerges from all the impressions they collect on their numerous travels, may it be nature, the people they meet or the new tastes they experience. 
For the live set they made for our podcast series and that we are so happy to share with you today, they envisioned a journey through a landscape of mountains, a float through an immensity of nature. It all starts with a short train ride, away from the city noise. Melodies levitate us right onto an imaginary dance floor where drums, shakers and trippy voices invite us to let ourselves go, be ecstatic and dance into a sunrise with orange and blue skies... 
In this mix they combined their latest tracks and remixes, most of them unreleased but we promise they will be out very soon ;) …

Born in northern Mexico and based in Barcelona, it has been years since Miret has been busy producing, remixing, and playing dj and live shows all around the globe. Both in the studio and in the booth Miret hipnotizes with a genre bending alloy of global sounds and solid electronic rhythms, usually at at slow tempos, and always mixed and crafted with elegance. Miret has created an own sound, a groovy fine blend incorporating analog electronic sounds and non obvious instrumental and vocal samples, distilled from the cultural traditions from the countries he has visited and lived in. Miret’s hypnotic world and sound is always expanding towards unexpected latitudes and territories.

This mixtape was created by the idea to show this amazing music from the 70s of mainly the eastern europe, focused on the states which are involved into this terrible war. I tried to bring my very favorites together. Make yourselfe a image about how beatiful and full of love this pieces are made off.
I'm using the term "Drushba" here, a old word which was used a greeting formula between people of the soviet countrys. I'm aware that this word was used as a propaganda tool, trivialize the facts of the russian repression of the countrys of the soviet union. 
I want to rewrite and re-strengthen the word Drushba naming my mix like this, which is filled with this amazing music from the soviet borther states, showing how equal any of this states was producing such lovely vibes.
I have collected some of these tracks over the past years, some of them are from vinyl, others are from my good old mp3 library.
