Mars 2019, sur la plage de Mabini aux Philippines, 40 kilos de plastique sont extraits de l’estomac d’un cétacé de 5 mètres de long. Avril 2019, sur une plage de Sardaigne, 22 kilos de plastique sont récupérés dans l’estomac d’un cachalot de 8 mètres de long. Décembre 2019 sur l’île d’Harris en Ecosse, un record… Les scientifiques trouvent une boule de 100 kilos de plastique dans l’estomac du mammifère échoué.
