In the best ways:  Kenny Loggins meets Nick Drake in modern tbone-fashion. This is fantastic songwriting.

This track doesn’t just describe tragedy, it feels it. The lyrics carry a raw, unfiltered ache, and the delivery pulls no punches. There’s something deeply human about the way this song looks at distance, not just physical, but emotional, and asks the listener to actually see. The vocal performance walks a careful line between heartbreak and restrained fury, while the instrumentation stays steady, never stealing focus from the message. You can hear the helplessness, the grief, the frustration, and most of all, the refusal to look away. ☕ The coffee machine buzzed low and whispered, “This isn’t a protest, it’s a witness statement set to melody” 🧂 The salt grinder blinked hard and said, “Darling, sometimes seasoning stings, and this one leaves a mark” 🧯 The fire extinguisher lowered its head and muttered, “I wasn’t enough for this one.. but someone had to say it” 🕊️ A hard, honest track that doesn’t try to fix anything, just refuses to forget, and it’s all performed so beautifully.

Daily Drops

Some people touch your life in unexpected and unprecedented ways.  Such was the case with a little red-headed girl, maybe seven years old, but in every way a ministering and guardian angel to her daddy who was going through a very rough patch in his life and never wavered in her devotion to him.  Maddie, this one's for you. You blessed my heart beyond words. 
A very special thank you to Axel Menningen for loving this song and lavishing his musical gifts on the arrangements.  He offered me two versions and loving them both, I asked him to publish the other mix on his profile. This is a kind of "Irish Pub" version of the song, smaller and more intimate. Connected Souls

This song was inspired by "The Cold Heart" (German: Das kalte Herz), a fairy tale written by Wilhelm Hauff. It was published in 1827 in a collection of fairy tales that take place within the narrative of The Spessart Inn.
Although written almost 200 years ago, the described conflicts of mankind are still up-to-date, maybe even more than before. Preferring status und prosperity over humanity is something which has become socially acceptable.

Its part of a collection of music.. a project called " HeartBeat " a collection of tunes in either 3/4 or 6/8 ( the human heart beats in these times )

This song began its life as a skeleton of beats and synth created by Terry, who also added some crunchy electric guitar hits to it, too. Terry is a very skilled electronic music producer, and frequent collaborator with Stephen for a project they call Texas Tea. It's worth going to check out their other collabs, as well as Terry's solo projects on his and Stephen's page. 
  Even though Terry and Stephen work together frequently, Terry approached Josh with a couple of ideas, and Josh picked this one, so Terry started the project and invited the rest of the band to join in.
 
Stephen was the lead off hitter for this one, though, adding his magical and heavily processed acoustic guitar to the bridge in the middle, as well as textural guitar in the entire first half. He also added a couple of cool lines with his e-bow, which he used on his guitar. Ken was next up to bat, adding his always thrilling drums to compliment Terry's beats. Josh went to work next, now that he had a solid beat to work with, added his low-frequency five string fretless bass to it. Tez batted clean up, adding his thrillling Gilmore-esque guitar solo to the end of it. 

  Then, once the music was all finished, we turned it over to Chris so he could add his amazing, psychedelic vocals delivering his original lyrics throughout.
  Once we had everything recorded, we turned it over to Terry to mix, as it was his song to begin with. Terry is an excellent producer with a great ear. Stephen, who is our trained mixer gave him some key advice along the way, too, though.
  This is Eclectic Collective's third song with Terry, and we're always thrilled when he has something to offer us. He's a wonderful collaborator with tons of great songs on his page, that are all worth checking out. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
  Oh, and it's worth mentioning that three of us on this have birthdays this week, too. Chris' was first, on Wednesday, Terry's was Thursday, and Josh's is Friday (today). So, this is an extra special celebratory song for all three of us. We're all so very grateful for our SoundCloud community, friends, and musical family. We appreciate all of you!
