Oh so pretty. Those deep notes you sing are awesome.

This track moves with that kind of steady purpose that feels like late night headlights on an open road 🚙 It’s got momentum without rushing, a real sense of “don’t stop now” woven into every line, like it knows how much depends on keeping going 🌒 The chorus is simple but hits deep, especially when it circles back and echoes like a promise and a warning all at once 🧃 The juice press gave a little squeeze and said “That’s pure concentrate courage with a backbeat” 💿 The microwave pulsed and whispered “It’s the sound of moving forward, even when you’re tired of trying” 🧺 The washing machine spun slow and muttered “This one rinses off hesitation, just get in and go” 💫 It's one of those tracks that sounds like momentum and feels like choice, subtle power, all the way through.

This music takes me back to somewhere very beautiful indeed.

A song that we wrote and recorded around three years ago. It was always a favourite of Nooblys so he has remixed it and gave it  a new lease of life .
The lyrics are based around a friend who got stuck out in Japan in lockdown. He was out there visiting his young son and couldn’t get back to England due to all flights being grounded.
This was a regular journey he had to make to stay in his sons life. 
His ex partner of many years decided to return home to her native country and took their son with her after the split.

When I came up with my stage name for SoundCloud,
I imagined an old organ grinder with his monkey and money cup,
cranking away on a street corner of an old cobblestone village.
But these days, the street corner was even older, as was the man himself,
along with his old synthesizer. The monkey is long gone, in case you were wondering.

Actually, I was quite surprised when the image that appeared got my glasses and my beard right, and even my blue shirt along with a pocket (where I keep my pocket protecter full of pens and pencils). Heck, it could almost have been my photo.

This song began with Steve, who wrote it on his guitar and sang it, before sharing it with Eclectic Collective about half a year ago, back in the fall. Always grateful to Steve for sharing his amazing music with us, we kept it alive even though it had stalled out on us for whatever reason. 
  We had a decent skeleton from our original go at it, but decided to scrap it, and start fresh. Ken, being the one who actually revived it, added his solid drums first, providing for a groovy foundation. Tez came next, surprisingly, adding his hooky guitar fills throughout. Mark hopped on shortly after, adding the organ you hear coming in around the 2:00 mark. Josh took his turn after that, even though it was only a couple of days between, by adding his fretless bass to complete the rhythm section. He also, in the same recording session, added the electric piano you hear throughout, as well as the organ in the first half. 
  Once it was in the can, we asked Stephen to mix it for us, in his always professional manner. 
  We all love working on Steve's songs, and admire him as a musician, singer, and songwriter. This makes almost a half dozen songs on which the EC has collaborated with Steve, and we're sure to add many more. We hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as we enjoyed creating it.
