The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a London-based duo comprising Andrea Papi and Daphne Ang. “The burden of life isn’t to live but to bear and carry it.”
I virtually paraphrased this lyric from @jordan.b.peterson - “The purpose of life is finding the largest burden that you can and bearing it.” This quote resonated with me, because ‘life is pain’ (@rickandmorty ) ... and while ‘I don’t know what it feels like’ for people who really suffer from mental health things, my heart goes out to them. I know people close to me that have struggled and will continue, too. I’ve always had that the thought that ‘attitude’ determines ‘altitude’, and this is true in every extent - but humans are weak, and when you’re dealt a s**t hand from the onset - the altitude doesn’t always seem worth climbing.

It’s worth it, though. The grass is greener when you water it.

The 39th Floor - The 39th Floor EP

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020.

Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS.

TCOMAS's sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres. Set against orchestral and cinematic landscapes, the songs also incorporate non-Western musical influences. The lyrics draw inspiration from contemporary and classical poetry, as well as Jungian psychology.

In 2024, TCOMAS released “Mysterium Tremendum" a fusion of classical orchestration, poetry, and death metal.
