About The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS) are a London-based duo comprising Andrea Papi and Daphne Ang. Coming together in early 2020 to record their debut album FULL SPECTRUM, the duo are fast establishing their niche in music as pioneers of a new form of expression, through the performance of poetry in music, and as an act that traverses between the wide-reaching spectrums of music. 

Drawing inspiration from TOOL and Kraftwerk, as well as the poetry of Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf, and Jim Morrison, TCOMAS brings literature, art, and history together into a space where rock and metal meets electronic.

Electronic producer netanya is set to ignite dancefloors worldwide with the release of “Meant to Be”, a euphoric electropop and Eurodance-inspired single featuring #1 Billboard and Amercian Top 40 charting songwriter Myah Marie. This represents a major milestone for netanya, bringing international pedigree to the collaboration. The track will be available on all major streaming platforms from October 17, 2025.

Destined to be netanya’s defining single of the spring, “Meant to Be” blends shimmering synths, pulsating basslines, and an irresistible chorus. "I first put an old version of the song together in July 2024 — it was like modern electropop with a light melodic future-bass vibe," explains netanya. “I put it aside until I eventually mixed it with a hard dance track this year, and it clicked. Adding those Eurodance elements gave it the energy it needed. This song is about surrendering to the moment, and Myah brought incredible emotion and energy to the recording. She was the perfect voice to bring the story to life.”

“Meant to Be” follows netanya’s recent singles “Fascination”, “Romeo Not Juliet”, and “Ondine’s Curse”. All four tracks will appear on his highly anticipated upcoming album Without You, confirmed for release in February 2026. An instrumental demo of “Meant to Be” was previously teased on the exclusive Audiomack edition of “Fascination”, fuelling excitement among fans ahead of its official release.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020. Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS.
TCOMAS's sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres. Set against orchestral and cinematic landscapes, the songs also incorporate non-Western musical influences. The lyrics draw inspiration from contemporary and classical poetry, as well as Jungian psychology.
