2nd Phase are Techburst (and Outburst residents) and are some of the most versatile producers that we have on our roster. They're back with a follow up to their heavily supported 'Agenda 21' release. It's called 'Protocol' and is one of their toughest sounding releases to date. With an extremely powerful kickdrum and bassline partnership, the awesome sub bass rumble definitely dominates this track. Traditional sounding techno chord stabs and rolling vocal samples are cleverly scattered throughout to add groove. They are later complimented by a sinister detuned synth section in the main break that adds 'menace' to the overall feel. One of the undoubted leaders of the hard techno scene, Darmec, steps up for remix duties and yet again shows us why he has scored so many Beatport #1's. He puts his own stamp on the release and adds that Darmec touch that we all love. Techno releases don't come much bigger than this, check it out!

2nd Phase - Protocol (Original Mix) [Techburst Records] PREVIEW

‘Reakson’ is the new and twisted metamorphosis of the prolific Slovenian artist ‘Reaky’ who's been back in the studio again lately making big waves with his trademark ‘no vocals, no samples, no nonsense, just beats’ approach to techno. We are honoured to present his debut EP on Techburst. The first offering is ‘Matchbox’ that twists and turns with it’s simplistic groove and rock-steady kick & bass. This is an aggressive stomper that rumbles along ferociously, shaking you from head to toe. Next up we have ‘Consumer Grade Noise’ that utilises some lowpass/highpass filtering to full effect, combined with classic Roland 909 fast-paced high-hats, and crisp metallic percussion. This is a great debut from ReaKson and we look forward to more of the same - do not miss this!

The young and very talented Argentinian producer Muska lands on Techburst Records with a big 2 track debut EP. We are always searching for new blood techno producers and with Muska we think that we’ve struck gold! Track #1 on the EP is ‘Wounds’ and has one of those minimalistic yet infectious grooves. The extremely warm sub bass adds so much fuel to the fire, and combine that with some seriously nagging detuned stabs and you’ve got yourself a really stomping production. Next up we have ‘Tilt’ that is a lot more percussive and groove based with it’s chopped vocal stabs and dark vibes. The build-up in the main breakdown is a bit special and will be sure to blow any hedonistic crowd to pieces. This is an excellent debut EP from Muska, you really need to check this out!

We are very thankful for checking every demo that we get sent to us here at TBR HQ, especially if it means that we can discover high-calibre techno artists such as Peter Fern! We’re really excited about this talented young man from Poland and fresh after remixing Mark Sherry’s ‘Gravitational Waves’, he returns with a well-deserved solo EP that oozes class, originality.. and not forgetting utter darkness! Both tracks, ‘The Underground Resistance’ and ‘The Path of Destruction’ are no-holds-barred hard techno slammers - relentless and unforgiving in style, but we’ll let the music do the talking from here on in - your resistance is futile!

Dulcet has been releasing a steady flow of ‘grade A’ techno and progressive beats over the last few years on labels such as ‘JOOF’ and ‘Research & Development’. He now turns his sights to Techburst and comes at us head-on with a prime time ‘hard techno’ EP that is aimed directly at the darkest and dirtiest of dance halls. First up we have ‘Control’ which has the meatiest of kickdrums, menacing sub basslines, crunching 909 percussion and a filtered melody that teases and provokes until it’s fully let out of it’s cage at the crowd-pleasing main buildup. To finish the EP we have ‘Truffle Hustle’ that is a slightly groovier affair with a catchy vocal that says ‘I need a fix’. A huge side-chaining saw bass is the main theme and is nicely complimented by subliminal melodies and hollow bass stabs throughout. Dulcet has raised the bar and has delivered 2 of his best productions to date..do not miss!
